GRANBURY (CBSDFW.COM) Controversy is brewing over two books in a Hood County library. Some parents are demanding that the books which teach about the LGBT community be banned.
Parent after parent spoke about this issue Tuesday morning at the Hood County Commissioners Court.
The two childrens books at the center of this debate are My Princess Boy by Cheryl Kilodavis and This Day in June by Gayle E. Pitman, both of which address LGBT issues. One of the books has already been moved to a different section of the library, but some parents maintain that they should be banned altogether.

“teach about the LBGT community” = teach about and promote gay sex.
We can’t abide by the First Amendment by taking their books out of the library lest they use the same argument against us later. Just put them in the specially designated queer room with unicorn and rainbow on the door.
It’s only “controversial” to homos and their genuflecting liberal acolytes.
By the way, one website about the book says “This Day In June” includes a teaching guide. Now what the hell is that supposed to mean??
I agree with you that it’s a slippery slope for libraries to become censors. I’d suggest a serious form of what you stated. Books for children and young adults of a controversial nature should be in a section where parents have to check out the books. It will be overused, for sure, since today almost everything is controversial to someone. But I think we’re at a point where parents should be informed about the indoctrination that’s happening in many children’s books.
No, that would tend to draw kids in like candy at Halloween. Put a picture of a pig wallowing in mud......................
homosexual sex
there is nothing happy about it, so try to stop using the term “gay” when talking about the deviants.
Can only imagine.
That book made me physically ill when I saw what was in it.
Agree. In fact it is very SADD. (Same Sex Attraction Disorder)
Good point.
I had actually never heard of this book until today so I looked it up on Amazon. Nearly all 5 star reviews. As a civilized society, we are so finished. Very, very sad.
How do we fight when the “experts’ are not on our side?

I cannot be optimistic either. Hood County isn’t Dallas; it isn’t even Fort Worth. It is a rural and exurban county in North Texas that has consistently elected Republicans to the White House since 1980, and is represented by the GOP in both the state and federal legislatures. In the 2014 gubernatorial election, Republican Greg Abbott won the county with 62% of the vote, vs. his statewide total of 59%. With regard to this issue and pro-pervert marriage supporters holding a protest opposing the county judge’s decision not to issue same sex marriage licenses, even this area has been infiltrated with leftist scum.
> But I think were at a point where parents should be informed about the indoctrination thats happening in many childrens books.
And they are getting sneakier about how they go about seducing children into the lifestyle. Anyone who says that pedopheilia / pederasty aren’t linked to homosexuality is either gay and denying it for obvious reasons or a white guilt liberal sympathizer who doesn’t have a clue.
> How do we fight when the experts are not on our side?
Perhaps its because the experts are gay and promoting an agenda to satisfy their own sexual desires. The same type that destroyed the Boy Scouts of America by infiltrating it so they could get some alone time with our children in the woods?
We must ban everyone who wants to ban anything.
If I’m not mistaken, a homosexual couple went to the courthouse in Granbury for a marriage license recently and was denied. When the county clerk was forced to comply, she quit her job instead of going against her religious and moral beliefs.
