KINGSPORT, Tenn. (CBSDC) – A woman reportedly told police she was counterfeiting money because she read online that President Barack Obama created a new law stating that people can start printing their own money.
The Times News reports Pamela Downs tried to use a counterfeit $5 bill at a local grocery store in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Sunday.
Police say that counterfeit bill was printed on computer paper and that each side had been glued together.
According to the Times News, Downs told the officer she received the money from a gas station a few days prior, but that she never inspected the bill.
Police then searched Downs’ purse and found a $100 bill which was also counterfeit. The Times News reports the bill was printed in black and white and that the back of the bill was printed upside down.
Police also found a receipt for a printer and copy paper in her purse.
“I don’t give a ****, all these other b****** get to print money, so I can too,” she reportedly told police when she was arrested.
The Times News reports that when Downs was at the jail, she told officers that she read online Obama created a law that permitted her to print her own money because she’s on a fixed income.
When officers searched her apartment, they found counterfeit bills totaling between $30,000 to $50,000.
Downs has been charged with criminal simulation and counterfeiting.
LOL. I wouldn't put it past him. I think she confused his demands that the "rich" pay for everyone else's housing, Food Stamps, cell phone and health care as him authorizing the printing of money.

I don’t see the problem. The US Mint has been printing worthless money for decades now. She’s simply doing the same.
If I were on the jury I would have a difficult time voting guilty. To be guilty of a crime one needs to be competent. To be competent you must possess a certain level of intelligence in order to be competent. Based on her attempt at counterfeiting I do not think she possess sufficient intelligence to be guilty of any crime.

Janet Yellen and Jacob Lew are the only ones allowed to print counterfeit money.
She deserves jail time for an inability to figure out how to turn the paper over to print on the other side.

The daughter of A friend of mine, and her boyfriend, were arrested for counterfeiting money using a computer and scanner. I knew this girl from when she was a baby. She’s doing time in a minimum security prison in central Florida.....................
I bet she also believes the Nigerian prince has Five million dollars for her.
She needed the money so just let her go.
Downs has been charged with criminal simulation and counterfeiting.

She sounds pretty dumb but the way Obama issues orders temporarily nullifying Federal laws almost anything can sound believable.
