At the Family Leadership Summit, Gov. Rick Perry blasts Donald Trump over his comments about John McCain and says that Trump should apologize or be disqualified to be President!
I'd like to know where y'all stand on this?

I respect McCain for his military service and his time as a POW.

Perry is just miffed cause No one is or has paid him or his campaign a moments interest.

He’s proven he isn’t as smart as Cruz, who refuses to cave in to the media or GOPe by bashing other candidates.

I’m a vet, my dad was a WWII POW.
I’d say my dad was a hero because he served in combat honorably,
was captured when resistance would have been suicide, served honorably as a POW and he went on to live an honest, patriotic life.
He would laugh at the term, for what that’s worth, and if you told him some other guy had said he’s no hero he’d have shrugged, maybe asked if the fellow making the remark had been a combat infantryman, and filed the incident under “everybody has an opinion” and get on with life.
I don’t get the outrage. A claim of heroism that could be besmirched by Trump would be a pretty thin claim.
The only outrage is being manufactured by the media, but outrage there will be.
What this shows me is that Trump is not from the military culture. I think he got deferments during the Vietnam era. I think he didn’t understand how stupid this combination of comment and fact is going to make him look.
In the day of “every vet a hero” (I’m not, thank you very much, but I served honorably and was lucky enough not to have to find out if I could be) it may be a mortal injury, unless Trump can find a very artful way out of it. He’s given his enemies a club, and the GOPe and libs are going to swing it and beat him down with it.
Many of his supporters are going to find the deferments distasteful, when he is on record as having claimed a high draft number and not mentioning the deferments when questioned about the draft. Both could be true, but it sure doesn’t sound good. Just say you were 4-f and get it over with.
About his only out is to deal with all these issues at once, through an apology that addresses every point in question, and puts them to bed in such a way that he can say he’s dealt with it and it’s time to move on, and then make those that continue to attack him with it be seen as being afraid to deal with the important issues he’s raised.
I’d hate to be his speechwriter.
As we say in Texas, some people just deserve killing. And funny thing is, we are talking about other Texans.
These republicrats are being harder on Trump than they ever were on obama or the democrats.
Rich ‘El Chumpo’ Perry should be disqualified for his support of illegal aliens at the expense of United States citizens.
