Pentagon Refuses to Arm Military Recruiters – Tells Them to “Close the Blinds”
Army chief of staff Gen. Ray Odierno said on Friday he has no plans to arm recruiters or add security patrols to military recruitment centers in the wake of the Islamist terror attacks on unarmed, unguarded military offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday. Odierno basically said he doesn’t trust his troops to handle their weapons properly.
Also on Friday, the Marine Corps ordered recruiters to not wear their uniforms at work for ‘force protection.’
Today the Pentagon added this– Military recruiters are being told to “close the blinds” for added safety.
Gretchen Carlson reported:

Obama needs to man a Recruiting Center with nothing but blinds for protection for a few weeks. Might clear up a lot of our problems.

Any Mayor worth their salt will have armed guards (police/security) at these shopping centers with recruitment offices. If the military says anything, they can be reminded that there are other business at those centers and they have a right to be protected. The Mayor can say, “We want the recruitment office to be there, but we know if the recruitment office is attacked by Islamic Terrorist Radicals... At least the other businesses will have protection.”
In addition, I suspect they will be shown the old "Duck & Cover" films from the 50s and run drills where they huddle under their desks???
Who the Heck would want to join such a military (l.c. intentional)?

Any one of them who does not IMMEDIATELY CONDEMN this outrage and vow to authorize highly trained military recruiters with the ability to defend themselves if elected needs to bow out of the race now.

Every recruiting storefront should put in a req for bullet-proof blinds.

This is unconscionable. These Recruiters and all military personnel have been targeted for lone wolf attacks and these arrogant bastards are leaving them as sitting ducks.
