Donald Trump nearly apologized to Arizona Sen. John McCain in an interview with Fox News Bill OReilly on Monday night.
I want you to say something to Senator McCain tonight, man to man, right to him, right now, OReilly said at the end of his segment with the Republican presidential candidate, who is at or near the top in several recent national and state polls.
In response, Trump said that he respected McCain, the GOPs 2008 nominee and a five-term senator who spent more than five years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
I used to like him a lot. I supported him. I raised a lot of money for his campaign against President Obama, and certainly, if there was a misunderstanding, I would totally take that back, he said. But hopefully, I said it correctly and certainly, shortly thereafter, I said it correctly, Trump told OReilly.

Now, for the record, what is linked in those two posts?
Well, what I meant by that is that daily attacks, especially all the lies and half-truths, will eventually wear on almost anybody, not the least of which someone almost 70yo.
Sure, in his business life he talks all the time and is engaged in ‘deal-making’ activity apparently all the time. But there what he says goes...or else. He doesn’t have to deal with people for very long he doesn’t want to.
I would much rather to be wrong, and Trump has the endurance to go until the elections. To finish strong even. I have no desire to see Trump bow out or fade away.
Maybe I’m just ‘projecting’, because I myself couldn’t go before the camera day after day without either going crazy or losing steam.
