I think Trump was just being Trump and trying to be funny and inserted foot in mouth without thinking about what he was saying. He just happened to say something that was sacrilege to vets who were POWs and was a little disrespectful in that regard. I also think Trump was also making the point that McCain has used his being a POW status as a “marketing tool” to keep himself in office. The main reason you keep hearing it over and over agin in the MSM is because the left want to use this to steal his thunder and remove him as a threat. Having said that I won’t vote for Trump. My ote goes to Cruz.

I think Trump was just being Trump and trying to be funny...

You put your finger on it. Trumps's remark (I like those that weren't captured) was flippant and no more than half serious and parallels a Chris Rock routine which wasn't funny either. None on the "analysts" I've heard/read/seen (except you)have made that point.

Here are the facts as we know them:

According to Colonel Ted Guy, John McCain’s commander as a POW, McCain collaborated with the enemy.
McCain is accused of giving information that led to the downing of 60 US aircraft
McCain is accused of training North Vietnamese air defense personnel
McCain is accused of making over 30 propaganda broadcasts against the US, broadcasts he moved to have classified when he was elected to the senate

I watched it and it did not seem like an apology at all. He went right after McCain for calling his people crazy. These were McCain’s voters who he called crazy, who needs to give an apology?

It looks like his next target will be Romney.

If this was boxing, he just beat a former republican heavyweight champ. Next he will beat Romney who was also a former republican heavyweight champ.

Then Trump will win bouts with each of the heavyweight contenders one at a time and he will be the republican Heavy Weight Champion.

Just what do you guys think Trump does in real life? This is like being on vacation for a CEO like him. Your predictions are as silly as saying Rush would burn out after talking about conservatism day after day.

Hannity has become an embarrassment. What happened to bold colors rather than pastels? Sounds like he is out to destroy Trump like the rest of the media.

Pray America is waking

Explain or aopologize and you lose right there. Trump will probably be intimidated into making explanations and apologies and will knock himself out of the race thereby. The Republicans will try to do that to every conservative candidate as each rises to the upper ranks of the contenders. The only ones I see possibly successfully resisting the process are Walker and Cruz.

He can’t even say he misspoke and stay in the race. No apologies. No explanations.

I just watched it and you're right...it didn't seem like an apology.

I thought Trump handled nicely.

That’s true. He says he only sleeps 3 - 4 hours a night, the guy is a workaholic. I read his book Art of the deal I think it was, or it may have been another one, and I remember him saying he hates nothing more than losing, so I think he would rather die than drop out and “lose”. If you notice, his favorite insult when it comes to his enemies is calling them “losers”. If he can keep this up for 15 months he will easily walk into the White House because there is nobody on this earth who can out-talk this guy. Anybody who debates him will be turned into a sobbing pile of mush. I really hope he keeps it up until Hitlery is forced to debate him. Can you imagine that carnage? FINALLY this bitch will get her fat cankles handed to her, have the REAL Hitlery exposed to millions of people instead of some RINO kissing her fat butt for once. Oh maaaaan, I hate fantasies about that debate LOL I don’t think Hitlery would ever do it though, she would rather have the controversy of refusing to debate Trump that actually debating him.

As I understand it, Trump’s church pastor was Norman Vincent Peale. That explains a lot about his toughness to me.

I can’t wait for Trump to hit on Benghazi.

That's an issue for Clinton and right now Trump is fighting the Republicans who are running. And since I don't expect him to get the nomination we may never know what he thinks in that area.

Oh just kidding. Trump never lets a thought go unspoken. I'm sure once someone explains Benghazi to him he'll have something to say.

Criticism won't affect Trump. He's impervious to criticism.

In fact, if anything, he seems to thrive on it.

Where I see Trump as possibly losing steam is in the debates. It will be interesting to see how he looks and sounds on stage compared to his competition.

If he can pull that off without losing his lead, Katy bar the door.

That said, I am a Cruz supporter first and Walker second.

But if Trump wins the nom, I will vote for him.

I see you haven’t responded to or answered any questions for source of the statement here..

..I also doubt you are a Cruz supporter.

He didn’t apology no matter how bad O’Reilly will spin it and say he did. The “interview” was terrible. It was another hit piece on Trump. O’Reilly needs to see if MSNBC needs another talk show host. I almost threw up when loudmouth Bill said McCain does a lot of good things for veterans. He does nothing. This proves to anyone that O’Reilly does not know McCain’s pathetic record in dealing with veterans or his record making 32 propaganda statements as POW. McCain votes exactly like a democrat on any veteran’s bill and actually wanted to cut active duty pay a couple of years ago.

there is nobody on this earth who can out-talk this guy [Trump]

Hahah.

Ain't that the truth. His books look easy because he probably dictated them non-stop to his secretary.

He's a human dynamo.

And his properties are all 5-star and that's really saying something. I think Trump can run the country like a 5-star hotel.

That’s the precise way it came off to me. And it would have ended right there if not for Frank Klutz edging him on and trying to get him to say something he could use against him. It was Klutz that inserted the “war hero” crap into the conversation. The sorry bastard should be working for CNN.
