(CNN)Anger over Sandra Bland's death in a Texas jail has boiled over after newly released video showed what happened at the traffic stop that led to her arrest.
Now, many question whether she should have been arrested at all.
The dashcam video shows Texas state Trooper Brian Encinia pulling Bland over July 10 for allegedly failing to use her turn signal. What started as normal conversation gets testy after Encinia asks her to put out her cigarette.

No some of us respect law enforcement, civil rights, we just recognize criminal actions with a badge aren’t protected under the law, then no longer are police but badged thugs, criminals and the punishments have already been established through history. The fanboys go about with a false premise that simply comply with any lawful or unlawful order and everything will be fine and dandy, there will be pink elephants n lemonade. Videos are clearly available to show conflict can be initiated, escalated by officer’s violating their code and oath. Overwhelming numbers on one individual various options but the sadisitic one is used for example. “I was scared for safety.” “He had a cellphone.” “A cigarette.” “A pacifier.” But pointing out common sense is heresy to a certain clan who don’t dare question their heros, heads up collective posterior cavities lost in wonder.
Murdering police isn’t protected by law either, but you fantasize about doing that in this very thread.
Anyway, Like I said, I don’t want to hear anything further from you until your obituary is run, so get to it.
I have been pulled over a number of times, I have been to jail around four times or so, once for doing stupid things with my car when I was 16, once for failure to pay a speeding ticket, once for behaving as a drunken fool at Mardis Gras.
That one was really bad, the cop was furious with me, and he most certainly tried to pick a fight with me while I was spread out on the patty wagon. I said nothing, I did nothing. No further trouble.
And once for forgetting my driver’s license at home then running a red light. That one was good for 8 hours in the clink.
All those times, even when drunk and threatened, I was respectful, and I did not resist.
That’s really all it takes.
Seems like Black Lives Matter can’t figure that out, among many other things.

And using lethal force against police doing criminal actions has been upheld in numerous court cases and SCOTUS, IN law being probably the latest. It’s easy to find and read. But that would mean putting down “Cherry Topper Weekly”

Me too. The woman in the video is an idiot. The cop might not be perfect, but the woman is a 14 karat mental defective.
The cops a passive aggressive pansy. He was itching to cause an incident, and it worked.
What is a relevant question is who is the one who escalated it...
He did.

Her refusal to obey his lawful order is what escalated it.
He was within his rights to issue the order.
She was not within her rights to refuse his order.
That was the point of escalation, and she began the snowball effect with her refusal.

Are you suggesting government in Waller County and likely other government agencies will not have successful lawsuits filed against them over this entire incident, including her fatal incarceration?
Even if she hung herself these tax paying folks down there in Texas are liable. No?
Are you suggesting all these multi-million dollar law suits and thousands of smaller lawsuits have no effect on Texas property taxes or taxes in general?
Now that we know there was a “significant amount of marijuana” in her system at the time of her death, (CBS) maybe we should walk back why he wanted her out of the car. Was he observing something (other than her aggression) in her demeanor that indicates to him she needed further evaluation? That she shouldn’t drive?
Hmmm, I did not know that until I read your post just now, and I would say that yes, this is a possibility.
He was asking probing questions as policemen do at times when they are trying to flush out someone suspected of drug involvement, where are you going, where are you coming from, why do you seem so nervous, etc...
I don’t have any problem with what he did, though, as I stated in another thread on this topic, I do think he could have be more clear that he was taking his investigation further before issuing orders related to that, which is the specific policy that he violated and was put on desk duty for.
His passive aggressive routine escalated the situation. His petty order and smug attitude were a part of it.
Interesting opinion, doesn’t matter, who cares?
