Green cards and Unions...there in lays the conundrum...Entrepreneurs, GOP, need the cheap labor....Progressives need their votes.
One solution: if you came here illegally, whatever the amnesty rules are or become, you can never, ever, vote in a presidential election....that's for starters.
It “illegals” certainly is the unification issue between Dems and RINOs for the reasons you state.
My position for illegals is that whoever gives them jobs should be fined/imprisoned, whoever gives them shelter/aid should be similarly sanctioned. When they are caught - deport them and attach any assets they accumulated while here illegally.
No entitlements, no college, no birth certificates, no voting, no driving, no nothing. They can go the hell home, frankly. Let their mother country deal with them.
