An angry wife drove her car at her teacher husband after discovering his affair with an 18-year-old former pupil.
Barnado's charity worker Maria Addis, 34, knocked down husband Mark, 37, after learning about his fling with the teenager.
A court heard mother-of-two Addis shouted: "She's only 18 years old" - before driving at the PE teacher with her Chevrolet car.
Rugby player Mr Addis, her husband of 15 years, was confronted by his wife over his love affair with teenager Lucy Gill.
Barnardo's worker Addis was due to stand trial for dangerous driving - but changed her plea to avoid "airing her dirty laundry in public".

Anger is understandable. Responding violently is unacceptable.
If the sexes were swapped, and it was the husband trying to kill the wife over her cheating, would you say "His rage is understandable"? If you said that in public, your female friends would ostracize you, and your company's HR department would get complaints about your presence creating a "hostile work environment". Which they would act upon.
Unless you're female in real life, in which case you would get a pass.

It is an interesting sign of the perverted times we live in that this entirely understandable, very human, rage used to be a factor in mitigation of the crime of murder, when we have transformed into an aggravating one.
That's the message of Big Government. "It is wrong to feel what you feel. Feel something else instead. And if you don't, here come the judge".
It's OK to feel enraged. ACTING upon that rage by trying to murder your spouse DOES legitimately bring in the cops and the courts.

Agree it is understandable. But we cannot give much leniency to “angry” people every time they attempt murder. Nomatter how justified it seems.
Committing murder because of anger is NO BETTER than a man who’s sexual feelings got the better of him.
