Stay Classy: Trump Used To Test His Dates For AIDS
The Daily Beast ^ | July 25, 2015 | Asawin Suebsaeng

In the early ‘90s, the Donald said he would ask his ladies to swing by the doctor for an AIDS test before he’d wine and dine them.

Future American President Donald J. Trump appears to be a tad germophobic.

“One of the curses of American society is the simple act of shaking hands, and the more successful and famous one becomes the worse this terrible custom seems to get,” the 2016 Republican presidential frontrunner wrote in his book The Art of the Comeback, published in 1997. “I happen to be a clean hands freak. I feel much better after I thoroughly wash my hands, which I do as much as possible.” (He has repeatedly described the custom of handshaking as “barbaric,” because of the germs.)

But his fear of disease goes well beyond his worries about catching a cold from glad handers. According to an early ‘90s Associated Press article, Trump—then a “newly eligible bachelor”—talked about how he asked women to agree to an AIDS test at his doctor’s office before he would take them out on a date.

“It’s one of the worst times in the history of the world to be dating,” he explained in late June 1991, roughly four months before Magic Johnson announced that he tested HIV-positive, and before Queen frontman Freddie Mercury died of AIDS.

Trump made his comments shortly after his divorce from Ivana Trump was finalized, and after he had been seen out on the town with TV personality Marla Maples and then model Carla Bruni.

“I have been known to say that to women,” the real estate mogul and notorious womanizer told Newsday when asked if he actually asked potential lovers to test for STDs. “It’s one way to be careful. There are a lot of ways. I’m saying, take all of those ways and double them, because you will need them…It’s very scary out there.”

After some years of wooing and HIV-testing, Trump would settle down and remarry, twice. But along the way there was one famous woman he regretted never asking out: Princess Diana.

“Do you think you would have seriously had a shot?” NBC’s Stone Phillips asked Trump during a Dateline segment from November 1997. (Princess Diana had died that past August.) “I think so, yeah,” Trump replied. “I always have a shot.”

Trump claimed he never asked her out because he was always too busy. It is unclear if The Donald would have AIDS-tested the late Princess of Wales, had he not been so busy.

Hunger for passion dissolves all reason, no matter what. Grifters/politicians depend on that emotionalism.

Are you just not understanding that he is hurting the statists and the media and doing the country a huge, sorry, a YUGE, favor??

You would prefer, perhaps, the top political story being the different plans for amnesty between Jeb and some other RINO on the campaign trail?

Speaking of Obama. . I wonder if he's been AIDS tested? . He looks awfully thin to me. Shouldn't the American people know if the man who controls the button has CNS AIDS or not? Don't we have a right to know? . . Waiting for the Flames, but really, every President should have an HIV test, don't you think?

I advocated HIV testing in the 80's for everyone in my home town in a Sunday newspaper editorial and received all kinds of nasty feedback.

Wanting to avoid AIDS is now “a tad germophobic”?

* Bad, Anti-US trade Deals
* not allowing Christian Refugees in but allowing Muslims
* People buys guns is a good thing
* That when we pulled out of Iraq, we at least should have kept the oil
* Stupid policies that force our military to fight with one hand tied behind their backs
* Pro Marriage
* and the most telling thing: The RINOs HATE HIS GUTS. That’s gotta be a good thing.

... and mind you, I’m not necessarily supporting the guy, either. But with what I’ve listed, and the bankroll he may spend to get his message out, you can see why the establishment is so nervous.

No need.

She hasn’t let him within 10’ of her sexually for decades......decades........

Everyone with any sense knows it’s a sham marriage, covering the truth for both of them - hiding his many ladies-in-waiting and her love for her girls.........

Sleeping around on your wife - no problem if you’re The Donald. But if you’re Slick Willie, it’s morally reprehensible.

Single payer health coverage - no problem if you’re The Donald. But if you’re Bernie Sanders, you’re a far left socialist.

I’m starting to believe that if The Donald proposed ripping up the Constitution, there would be supposed conservatives who would cheer him on.

My point is that Trump -- even by his own admission -- has some odd personality traits that drive him to do some strange things. In addition to washing his hands dozens of times every day, he also refuses to touch elevator buttons (an odd habit for someone who builds skyscrapers for a living, LOL) and won't shake hands with people.

I also wash my hands at least a dozen times a day, use my forearm or shoulder to push open doors, use the back of my pen to push elevator buttons, and wear gloves (in the winter) when grabbing the subway "bar." And guess what - I haven't missed a day of work because of illness in at least fifteen years.

“Quick question: If you had a daughter (maybe you do) and she told you some millionaire wanted to have her tested for aides, before she could service him, how happy would you be?”

“Service” him? Are you asking for opinion from a parents point of view or a pimp’s? It seems the culture has had its effect on expression as well. Word choices can sometimes be telling.

From Trump's point of view.

But realistically if Trump is asking your daughter to take this test, what is it all about? He has no intention of marriage or relationship. This is not sold romantic thing. What would you call it? Being used.
