Trump slams Walker as governor leads in early voting Iowa

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump opened up a line of attack Saturday on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, accusing the leader in recent polls in Iowa of running his neighboring state into financial trouble.

It's the latest broadside against a rival of the outspoken New York billionaire. Last week, Trump went after South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham for calling him a "jackass." The New York businessman has characterized other candidates as unfit for the office and said the party's 2008 nominee, Sen. John McCain, was not a war hero in spite of his years as a prisoner in Vietnam.

Spurred on by a raucous audience of more than 1,000 at a central Iowa high school, Trump said Walker has an advantage in Iowa because he's from a neighboring state but that the edge is undeserved because Walker has mismanaged Wisconsin's budget.

How’s Walker going to change anything if it’s not his style to get involved? Every day, he looks more like the Chamber of Commerce’s “plan B”.

A person from FL and TX, Jebbie Bush is one of the principal pushers of the popular “Common Core.” Some say he is financially invested in the scheme.

"Go, Trump, Go!!!"

Then, Trump headed to Arkansas and took on Hillary.

Said some really mean things about her.

So begins a sort of quiet unraveling. Walker is popular. This isn’t necessary and isn’t going to help Trump.

This is hugh!

The Rodman Wing of the GOP is substantial.

Big blow for Walker.

"Trump faulted Walker, popular for stripping public employees of many of their collective bargaining rights"

AP wrote that deceptively.

Trump did NOT fault Walker for actions concerning public employees.

I've lost count. Is this the 15th downfall of the Trump candidacy, or the 16th? It is hard to tell with him having such a dominating lead in the polls.

Congrats to Rodman for supporting Trump. Well, it’s not a surprise. Rodman’s always been a rebel.

Lol, CoC Plan B. For sure I have been waiting for Walker to do something. So far paint drying has caught more of my attention. Perhaps he is a slow starter?.....very slow.

Mariner I don’t think some people really care what was actually said. They would rather echo the incorrect information spewing from AP. AP achieved its goal of giving low information or m@be we should classify as controlled information people an excess to mark him off list.

Maybe next speech Trump should pull AP credentials !

Trump faulted Walker, popular for stripping public employees of many of their collective bargaining rights, for falling short of budget projections and changing his position on Common Core education standards.

At least post the entire sentence in context.

Walker was fairly warned and had several days to “correct” the fundraising
letter. More time than Trump gave the other clowns who attacked him first.

After the courtesy of several days, with no correction coming from Walker, Trump dropped the hammer on Walker
today in Iowa...and rightfully so.

Sen. John McCain, was not a war hero in spite of his years as a prisoner in Vietnam.

That opening part of the article is simply a lie. I've listened to Trump's McCain comment a number of times, and that's not even close to what was said.

See this article from Wisconsin: Donald Trump attacks Scott Walker after 'DumbDumb' insult

In the past week Walker has thoroughly denounced Trump, has had his top aide call Trump a 'dumbdumb', and had George Will continue his onslaught, Will's wife being a major operative for the Walker Campaign.

What does that sound like to you?

Walker is dependent upon and controlled by those who write his checks currently. (Probably connected to GOP÷e
Donald was generous in past but apparently he has a short memory

There was a colorful old Mexican anecdote of a well to do man planning a long and difficult trip, who needed a hollowed, dried gourd to carry his water. He was offered several gourds that all looked fine on the surface. So he insisted that each be filled with water first, to see if they were water tight.

Sure enough, all but a few leaked, and of those, only one had a watertight cork. Learning from the experience, he chose his traveling companions the same way, making each carry out a difficult task. Only one proved capable of handling the pressure, and who after being chosen said he was grateful to accompany the wealthy man.

But the wealthy man explained to him that he was not just a traveling companion, that by proving himself, he was fit to lead the trip.

In any event, the same rule applies to all these Republican gourds hoping to get the nomination. Before anything else, they have to prove they can handle the pressure.

So sick and tired of hearing about trump’s antics. He’s creating a distraction for the media which would rather report on who he’s insulting than on what lies hillary is being caught in.
