President Obama said that if he could run for a third term he thinks he would win, while calling for African leaders to adhere to term limits during a historic speech before the African Union.

“I actually think I’m a pretty good president. I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t,” Obama said in Ethiopia on Tuesday. ” There’s a lot that I’d like to do to keep America moving, but the law’s the law.”

If he wants to run for a third term, he could probably do so. He could get the Roberts court to rule that the 22nd Amendment doesn’t apply to him, perhaps rationalizing that since it was passed in an era of Jim Crow, it doesn’t apply to blacks.

This is the first positive proof that he's going to run for a third term.

Usually when he says stuff like this, it means he’s going to do it. See executive orders regarding immigration.

The kenyan is not going anywhere. He’ll still be throwing stink bombs at us and community organizing in 2017 after he moves out of the WH.

The GOP had a chance to destroy obama as a political force after “you can keep your doctor” but instead they let him off the hook. I knew then that obama was going to be a permanent fixture regardless of his residence.

Beware of the Mooch in 2016, don’t say it couldn’t happen. All it would take is Hillary cratering, a hint from O to his followers that she would enable him to continue his policies and it damn sure could happen.

He’s proven time and again that he can turn out minorities, Millenial Liberals, and young single women (The Julias) in numbers that can swarm and overwhelm the rest of us.

Hillary is gonna have to propose forgiving all student debt to pull off something like that.

"but the law’s the law."

Since when did the law matter to him? It isn't nothing that an executive order or two wouldn't take care of.

Not only that, who would oppose him? The same ones that have opposed him thus far?

“There’s a lot I’d like to do”. (I would keep entitlements moving)
“But I can’t”. (Unless my people rise up)
“But the laws the law”. (Wink, wink)

All’s he needs is a good crisis.

He’s already set the stage for several - racial, economic, immigration, Iranian nukes, there’s plenty to choose from.

I would not be surprised one bit.

I am not concerned that he will try to run for a third term. My guess is that he sees the presidency as a stepping stone to either SCOTUS, where he could be the Real Black On The Court, or Secretary-General of the UN, where he could be the Savior of the World.

I just can’t understand why he is still in office.

Look at the Congress...that is your answer.

Wouldn’t put it past them.

Before the end of his term I predict Michelle Obama will take another $100 million junket with the kids and her mother. This trip will occur in the spring or summer of 2016.

It’s called Stockholm Syndrome...either that or fear of a Biden or Clinton presidency.
