HitchBOT, who was created by a team of communication researchers from Ontario, was found damaged beyond repair early Saturday in the city of brotherly love.

Granted. However you perhaps confused me with a ‘robot’ aficionado. Hitchhiking implies to me some sort of action to attract drivers other than ‘sound.’

Kind of sounds like what we used to do with my Son with “Flat Stanley”, chances for cute Photo-Ops from around the country.

The torso is a white 5 gallon paint bucket.

White privilege was his downfall.

I’m agreeing with you. The Daily Mail/Canadians called it a robot but it’s just a voice-in-the-box.

Okay. Sorry....I think what I’d have done is held the sucker hostage. Make them pay a ransom in bitcoins.

So, what sociological conclusions can we draw from this experiment? A dorky-looking robot got trashed in the USA, but not Canada or Europe. No surprise, really.

The next experiment ought to be a Terminator robot, dropped into Afghanistan.

not true. PA is “shall issue” and plenty of law abiding people in philly are packing. Also open carry except you will get hassled.

I would get it stuck in a self reference paradox and admit that it’s own existence is unethical.
