Nope.

But I understand they treat football like religion there.

The rest of the country does not.

Just seems like folks that disdain a whole system ought not to be able to pick and choose parts they like.

I disdain...our current government..but I can't get out of paying my taxes....

If they hate the school.. then hell no they shouldn't be on that school's team.

I hate the whole NEA system...but I PAY for it!! And if my kid wanted to play for that school...they should be allowed.

“Pick the most likely.”

Doesn’t matter. If they want to play, same as anyone else, they can. No problem.

You don’t even come close to a defendable position

Homeschoolers hate schools but want to participate in public school sports?
That isn't a defendable position? You don't see the hipocracy?
Well, maybe you are just ate up. To continue...

you think you can proclaim that every single homeschooler is an elitist wanker

All the ones I've seen here today sure are.
Much like the elitist wankers that don't watch TV or eat at McDonalds.

You don’t get to decide what or how people get to educate their kids

Hell, I wouldn't want to. But I do object to broad-brush bullcrap.

While you are waving your scepter pretending to be king of the world

I'd no idea having an opinion made me King of the World.. but as long as I'm here on the throne.. oh, never mind.

I’d like to know just how far your delusion goes...

Right straight to the core, and screw a bunch of elite barstards who figure they are better than the rest of us.

No. They are not students at the school.

They should not be on the team.

How about JJ Watt or Jaclowneon Davis? Same deal?

Not quite.

The family lives in the district, so they pay taxes to support the team. If the child is eligible by age, physical condition, etc., they are allowed to use some of the support provided by their parents as a basis for being on the team.

Got it.

If you don’t lower your academic standards to the public school’s standards, you should not be able to reap any benefits from the exhorbitant money you pay to the school.

Good ol’ taxation without any benefit.

How socialist of you!

As taxpayers, they should be!

Go find your own team, Fauntleroy.

Go find your own taxpayer, government school!

Blah blah.. I never mentioned anything like that.
Try to pay attention.

Me, I’m not the one crying to let little Chauncey onto a
team from a school he doesn’t attend.

"Go find your own team, Fauntleroy."

Sorry, wrong answer...taxpayers pay for that school and everything associated with it.

Just because one homeschools, doesn't mean they aren't paying taxes that support that school...it just means they don't support the abominable curriculum present in those schools.

Actually, if they are required to pay money that, in part, supports the team, then the school should not be allowed to have the team.

Or do you believe in that whole “taxation without representation” idea we fought over in the 18th century?

They ARE on the team if they otherwise qualify.

“should not” doesn’t matter.

Maybe Chauncey can run, or Fauntleroy can jump? Who cares. If they make the team, they get to play. Same as anyone.

Maybe Jaclowneon is a good debater, and JJ Watt has a mean backhand?

If they make the team, they get to be part of it.

Now, if you are advocating private funding of public school sports - that’s a different matter. We can make that one work any way you want. I’d agree to that.

Sorry, if you want to cry about the school and hate all over it..

The number one reason why home schoolers home school is the academics. Therefore, these words (which you should well recognize) mean exactly that one MUST debase their academic standards to participate in an activity one is required to pay money to support.

Once again - How socialist of you!

Are YOU paying attention to your own words?

You “But I do object to broad-brush bullcrap”, but proclaim that all homeschoolers hate public school.

Since you don’t want to be general... how about you explain how far does your blind loyalty to school go? You in favor of the anti-american revisionist history? How about the anti-Christian public shaming brought in as anti-bullying courses... that good with you too? You all in favor of kicking God out of schools and banning bibles? You support teaching evolution as if it were a religion that cannot be questioned or critically examined? White privilege... that is the big thing lately, you are on board with that too, right?

Otherwise, no sports for you!

I hope you are proud, Mr. Alinsky.
