NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police are responding to a call of an active shooter at the Carmike 8 Cinemas on Bell Road in Antioch.

The incident occurred just after 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Dispatch confirmed three EMS units have been sent to the scene.

Witnesses at a nearby business reported one person covered with blood.

Police said [Vincente David] Montano was committed four times - twice in 2004 and twice in 2007. He was reported missing on Aug. 3 and identified via fingerprints and a Tennessee ID card.

He had an airsoft gun and the crazies are still talking gun control in comments about the article on the ABC site. Ban airsoft guns, ban toy guns, ban light sabers, etc. etc. etc.

I had a job where I had to go and work with kids from that area. I was blown away by the amount of “diversity” in the schools. Some spoke English, but many didn’t. And it wasn’t just Spanish.

We had to bend over for the Somalis, Hispanics, etc...it was a mess.

Now, with the rise of the Hispanic gangs and even Kurdish gangs, I wouldn’t go there any more.

Wow! Theater shootings are all the rage after all the publicity the Colorado theater shooter got. Maybe the answer is to not publicize these events.

Maybe we should begin to discuss shutting down public movie theaters, allowing patrons only after they've passed a background check- happily, the firearms *instant check system is already in place, so there'll be no massive startup cost- and received a government-issued movie/theater admission pass.

Of course the Hollywood crowd that so despises the Second Amendment will object, but their movies can still be downloaded in the relative safety of our homes, so there's no infringement on First Amendment issues here. And, of course, if it saves the life of even one child, it'll be worth putting the theater owners out of business.

Something strange. He went in with a gun and hatchet but didn’t shoot anyone?

A couple of things: we now know that his *handgun* was what's been described in some reports as a *pellet gun,* an airsoft in others. And his as-described *hatchet* was actually a combat tomahawk.

He additionally was using pepper spray in his attack, spraying at least two female victims, and possibly also the one he injured with the tomahawk:
