What happens when you rescind an invitation to Donald Trump?
Well, my RedState email is suddenly maxed out due to a flood of very angry emails. I’ve been called queer, an n-word lover, Megyn Kelly has been referred to as the c-word.
My office phone line’s voicemail has also gotten maxed out with angry phone calls.
Last night, people were leaving voicemails in my hotel room — having somehow managed to navigate the hotel switch board. At 3 o’clock this morning I had to unplug the phones in my room.
My twitter feed is unusable. It’s just angry people, many of them very recently created accounts of people following few others and with little to no followers. But I can’t interact with much of anyone because of the timeline.
Greta Van Susteren exacerbated it earlier today with her tweet piling on me, which brought in her followers on top of Donald Trump’s. They could not really distinguish that I had apologized for things I had said and Trump just changed his story.
Facebook is much the same way.
RedState suffered a denial of service attack throughout the night and into this morning.

He deserved the negative attacks—for no good reason he dis—invited Trump. The Fix is in—destroy Trump! lies, rumors, old cuts from his TV show—Rosie O’donald Feud 9 years back—anything to get Trump and kill his message. But, Trump has a long memory and all sorts of friends—in some unlikely places.
Good grief... there's getting to be very few independent conservative outlets anymore, everything is now part of the Salem radio propaganda machine. It will be hard to hear anything but the GOPe party line. This is entirely the opposite of the Reagan years when there was a whole host of independent conservative publications and no one company had a seeming monopoly on conservative media.

A lot of hypocrisy here. EE claims “it was the right thing to do”. Then writes a whole article about how BOR is an idiot for saying “it was the right thing to do”.
I wonder, too, how much of the “anger” was real and how much was made up to generate sympathy.
Senor~ Erick you played the PC Political Correctness card and now you want the angry people who trusted you as a real conservative to just shut up and go away and saying we accept your apology. Well I for one am sick of all the professionals apologizing for inane remarks and expecting us to roll over and play like a progressive liberal. You made a horrible mistake for someone claiming to be a staunch conservative and so did Megan Kelly acting like the CNN Candy Crowley injecting herself into the presidential debate of 2012 just Megan did trying to turn women against Trump.
I commented to Red State and Erickson that “disinviting” Trump was going to be a bad move. That would kick him in the Gazzotts later on.

Old Erick lost his credibility completely when he started whining & making things up about being called names by “newbie” IDs, threatened, etc. He’s approaching Alec Baldwin levels.
I’m sure behind the scenes Fox personalities + management, are trying to figure out what to do & how to address their Trump problem.
Do they discuss it, or not? Defend, or simply report neutrally on themselves? Invite Trump to appear, or shun? Attack or apologize? They are used to being called out, but not usually by their own, especially an Ailes pick. Erickson is (finally!) a Fox contributor, and he’s been exposed as a creeper. What a mess.
Will Rush even mention it? Old Erick is one of his handpicked boys! He’s crying like a baby.
Rush MUST mention how ridiculous it is for anyone to interpret “wherever” to mean “bleeding from the eyes and vagina”.
And he must mention how ridiculous it is to un/invite Trump from appearing at a conservative gathering—rather than simply ask the candidate directly for clarification when they show up.
We shall see what Rush is made of with one of his own being in the hot seat.
Rush choosing EE, a RINO at best, as a guest host says a lot about Rush.
I stopped listening to Rush on a regular basis 10 years ago - he’s an establishment country clubber who speaks his inner heart thru his golfing buddies stories.
He and Boehner can get together and cry on each other’s shoulders....I sent redstate a couple emails via their “contact us” link...
I don’t know, anyone who calls Souter “a goat-f*****g child molester” can’t be all bad, but he loses points for apologizing for it.
