Donald Trump went back and forth with NBC host Chuck Todd on Sunday in one of his most combative interviews since announcing his presidential candidacy earlier this summer.
In a 37-minute conversation on "Meet The Press," Todd pushed Trump on a wide range of issues with which the real-estate magnate would presumably be confronted if he won the presidency in 2016. It forced Trump to be on the defensive on everything from his college record, to outsourcing, to the US role in NATO.

I just watched it in it’s entirety. NOT combative at all. Softball questions. How could anyone think this was combative in the slightest, that is, unless, their candidate couldn’t even hit a softball, only whiff at it. Trump handled them fine, just as Cruz would I suspect. The others?

I watched the whole interview. It’s not a combative interview. I don’t think Trump was even sweating for the first fifteen minutes of the piece. Trump comes off looking fairly good, and Todd probably did one of the fairest interviews that I’ve seen in the last twelve months.
