Ted Cruz and Donald Trump might campaign together

WASHINGTON–Sen. Ted Cruz caused a stir when he met in July with Donald Trump. But the two could be making a joint campaign appearance soon, according to The Daily Beast.

The two Republican presidential candidates’ campaigns discussed holding an event together in Washington, D.C., and Trump invited Cruz on his trip to the border, a Trump insider told the website.

While other candidates have denounced Trump’s controversial comments on immigration and Sen. John McCain--including former Gov. Rick Perry–Cruz defended the real estate mogul.

“One of the reasons you’re seeing so many 2016 candidates go out of their way to smack Donald Trump is they don’t like politicians that speak directly about the challenges of illegal immigration,” Cruz told reporters in July....

Very exciting seeing these two operate their campaigns and covering the ground in such a way that if either one wins they've coordinated well to “secure” that.

It was no accident Cruz was securing the “firewall” in the Southern Bus Tour...while Trump ‘took’ the stage away from all the others in Iowa....brilliant moves IMO.

....”Cruz is brilliant and would be a great president,..... We need a bulldog like Trump to take on the special interests that have corrupted the political system”....

Cruz has been doing just that in Washington already....so I really think we’re going to get them both when all is said and done. One is the “inside” man, the other is the “outside” man.....so that “zipper” is going to come together very well, which will include those we aren’t seeing but nontheless operating in the ultimate “take back” of our Country.

True, but while Cruz has been scoring points with the electorate he hasn't been terribly effective in Washington to date. That's because Cruz is attacking the puppets whereas Trump will attack the puppet masters that are pulling the strings. Once the strings are cut, Cruz can easily handle the stringless crowd in the Capitol.

I also like the way Trump openly courts the military, as I'm sure he knows that many of the puppet masters won't go quietly. The next phase of the American story will be anything but dull.

I think it was the apple in his mouth that bugged him the most.

40 Million Evangelicals do not vote.
_________________________________________________________

Wow! That number sounds high to me. Have you got a source for that number? From what I can ascertain from researching is that there are 133 million Evangelicals in the U.S. but only 69 million of them are voting age adults. So, per your number, that would mean that only 29 million Evangelicals voted in 2012 out of 127 million votes cast. Hard to believe.

I looked it up. 80 million of voting age less than 50% participation.

I believe we loose elections because too many don’t vote.....reasons for not voting cover all aspects of excuses...because that is what they are...excuses.

I hope Cruz is watching his back politically. Cruz I trust as POTUS Trump even with Cruz as VP? To be honest I doubt it would happen. A backroom deal would be cut within the party and likely Rubio, Jebthro, or similar would be on a Trump ticket. Remember Trump had a choice last election and he went with the Liberal.

I don't agree with Sarah in the spotlight, much as I like her, and here's why: She would bring too many negative associations with the past. Trump needs to keep things fresh...

Maybe Secretary of the Interior, though... That would prove a good leveraging of her skills.

It seems to me that the law that you cite could be used to bring down the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.
