I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.
I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.
I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.
The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.
As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.
I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time. Josh Duggar

Oh please. How deep does the sin have to go before you admit he is a complete and utter fraud?
That revelation, which came out yesterday, is the reason for his addressing the media today.
I think the mom has been abused. I just don’t know how.

Being unfaithful to a spouse, including pornography, is adultery. The first person pronoun is used in his statement. The more salient point for the faith communities with a common theological persuasion is do they still assert all sins (past, present, and future) are forgiven when he had his conversion experience or do they reject him as a bona fide Christian. This seems a typical tragic case where a false sense of security did not acknowledge that grave sins separate one from God at the real risk of eternal darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I read the article and googled this guy. I still don’t know who he is. I’ve heard the name but have no idea why this guy is famous. Because he has a bunch of kids?
Can anyone summarize why anyone cares about this guy?
Duggar isn't necessarily a conservative either, no matter what he says. Jesus warned that many would come in his name, but they would be wolves in sheeps' clothing. Josh Duggar fits that, but leave Bristol out of it.
She’s a hypocrite just like Duggar and both have done conservatism no favors in the way they have conducted their lives.
I was making fun of the way he expressed himself. Instead of taking the blame, he used “became” to make it seem it’s like something done to him, not a choice he made. He is making it clear he hasn’t yet come to terms with his responsibility for his actions.

I would hazard a guess that he (Josh) doesn’t really feel like he did anything wrong. Other than getting caught.
She went around the country making $ from promoting abstinence, then bore two kids from different daddy’s out of wedlock. That makes her a hypocrite in my book and just gives the libs more ammunition in their arguments.
That’s what my forensic language analysis indicates.
So what does that have to do with this thread? It proves that Josh Duggar is a hero? For what it’s worth, it seems like what Duggar did is a lot worse.
