At Bloomberg, Sahil Kapur explains that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% disagrees with Donald Trump about legal immigration:
Though Cruzs get-tough attitude on illegal immigration certainly matches Trumps, the two men differ vastly on policies involving legal immigration. While the real estate moguls plan calls for a swath of protectionist measures to curb legal immigration, Cruz has championed anexpansion of legal immigration, arguing it would help the economy.
During the 2013 immigration debate, the Texas senator proposed an amendment to the comprehensive gang of eight Senate bill that he boasted would dramatically increas[e] the annual limit on H-1B skilled guest worker visas from65,000 to 325,000a five-fold expansion. ...............

BTTT
Also immigrants are taking most jobs in America. This also tells you the flood of these immigrants we are getting into the USA. It's an invasion
Data show that since 2000 all of the net gain in the number of working-age (16 to 65) people holding a job has gone to immigrants (legal and illegal)....

I got a kick out of Trump the other day when a reporter asked him about the $166 billion it would cost to deport the illegals (phony number based on mass deportation). Trump said that since it costs us $130 billion a year now to pay for their presence here, an almost one year payback sounded like a good idea to him. LOL.
>> Cruzs mother has two nationalities-one from each parent <<
Sorry, but your arithmetic still doesn’t compute. No person can be one-third of anything.
Specifically, your ethnic proportions are always going to be fractions whose denominators are powers of the number two. So you can be 1/2, 1/4, 3/16, 9/32 Latino, etc. But there’s no way you can be 1/3 Latino.

At the time Cruz cited a study by the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, which found that immigrants with advanced degrees boost employment for US natives.’
Cruz ought to put his faith in more reliable sources.
The “American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank” performed the study referenced in this article:

About The Partnership for a New Economy:
The Partnership for a New American Economy is a coalition of business leaders and mayors launched by Michael Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch to influence public opinion and policymakers toward comprehensive immigration reform. “The partnership will enable Mayors and CEOs to demonstrate to policymakers the vital role that immigration plays in our economy by publishing studies, conducting polls, convening forums, and sponsoring public education campaigns.”[1] Among other goals, the partnership will pursue Congress and the White House to enact legislation which will create “a path to legal status for all undocumented immigrants now in the United States”.[2] The partnership will seek to influence “by publishing studies, conducting polls, convening forums, and sponsoring public education campaigns”.[1]

Cruz is a lawyer ,, he cannot be replaced with a H1-b .. so he doesn’t care that they are absolutely killing the programming profession...
Waiting for the usual butthurt crowd to bitch and whine while taking Cruz's comments out of context.
He's still a politician, so he has to satisfy those who are giving him money.
Thank you. I’m saving that.
has it ever occurred to you that with declining birth rates, our economy cannot grow without immigration?
Look at what happens to countries, like Europe, where populations are shrinking. Look at Detroit and other American cities where the same thing is happening. Regardless of why, declining birth rates and populations are economic disasters for those already there.
that’s a dumb ass childish response if I ever heard one. You have no basis for that.
Ideally, we'd achieve continued economic growth by some combination of the two, taking into consideration of the causes and effects.
But thats not what we're doing today.
Well, clearly.....not all of us are the genius you are in deciphering the human genome.
He doesn't mention even one of them as a credential.
