Pro-Jeb plane flies anti-Trump banner across Trump’s Bama rally and it BACKFIRES big time

Maybe size does matter.

Fellow 2016 Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush tried to steal Donald Trump’s thunder in Mobile, Alabama, on Friday, but the move proved to be full of hot air.

As Trump electrified the largest crowd of the presidential campaign season to date, the pro-Bush Right to Rise super-PAC launched a banner message to fly over the event on a small plane.

The message read “Trump 4 Higher Taxes, Jeb 4 Prez.”

Back when Hillary looked inevitable

The same factions that derailed her 2008 trek to her coronation are working behind the scenes to derail her 2016 trek. She seems to be struggling more this time than in 2008.

Obama wants someone he thinks will cement his legacy, rather than undo it. Months ago, there were rumors of Fauxahontas being approached. More recently, there have been rumblings of Kerry, Gore and Biden getting in.

If Hillary does survive the email and other scandals, she may be weakened going into the fall 2016 election. It does seem that many pundits and politicians think she won't be the nominee -- as she may quit or lose it again.

“Jeb Bush is never, ever going to out-think Donald Trump.”

One thing is for sure, Trump doesn’t like to lose. Look at how he has discussed Romney and McCain losing to Obama.

Trump will not like losing to Jebbie, and I can’t see that happening.

"The person who put this banner/fly over together should be fired."

This was such an epic failure for Yeb, I wouldn't be surprised if the person who put this together was on Trump's payroll, lol.

There are only two possibilities. Possibly, this was a spectacularly bad, yet serious, attempt to drive down Trump support, and elevate Bush’s. In which case it was not only pathetic, but also incredibly daft.

The other possibility is that it was an attempt to playfully mock Trump, and to inject humor into the campaign. This, too, would also make it pathetic, and equally daft. But it would also add the element of being tone-deaf to the genuine anger, resentment, hostility, and fed-up-ness that the public has towards the establishment.

Either way, whoever did this should get fired yesterday. But whoever did this will probably land a cushy job for the establishment, should Trump fail to win.

The group that funded this, a pro-Jeb PAC, is called "Right to Rise".

That's correct. Yeb sees his nomination as a RIGHT.

"There are only two possibilities."

There is a third. This makes the Bush campaign look so feckless, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump had paid somebody to do it!

Touche. There are 3 possibilities. If your scenario is correct, I can only hope and pray there were video cameras in the Bush war room when they saw this.

Details on Fact Check One Alabama FlyBy https://righttoriseusa.org/news/fact_check_one_flyby?lang=en

August 21, 2015

Hi all –

Right to Rise USA here. Hope you’re enjoying the show tonight. We just wanted to fly by to tell you about the real Donald Trump. Did you know Trump proposed the biggest tax increase in American history? That’s right, Trump called for raising taxes by $5.7 trillion! That’s enough money to put $170,000,000 in every seat at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Imagine what you could do with that!

I think Jeb described Trump’s tax hike best: “He’s proposed the largest tax increase in mankind’s history, not just our own country’s history.” (Jeb Bush, 8/20/15)

Jeb and Trump couldn’t be more different on the issues that matter to conservatives. Trump’s risky and reckless philosophy – one that’s out of step with GOP values - seems to change everyday.

On the other hand, Jeb is a lifelong, committed conservative with the results to prove it. As governor of Florida, Jeb cut taxes by $19 billion and helped create 1.3 million new jobs; one of the big reasons Florida had much stronger economic growth than the rest of the nation.

Have fun tonight. Jeb for President 2016!

I can’t believe some of these political advisers that think up these dumb things actually get paid money for doing what they do. What a racket!

Agreed! It's astonishing, really.

These consultants do serve an (unwitting) purpose, though, in alerting us to a candidate's judgment, discernment, and malleability. In Jeb's case, it's not telling us anything we didn't already know. But look how many times good, otherwise solid conservative men and women have have had their not-ready-for-prime-time status revealed when they abandoned their own compasses to listen to consultants.

The ease with which intelligent, honorable men and women are talked into boneheaded moves by these consultant-class charlatans speaks directly to the maturity and strength of their leadership ability. (Object lesson: Mike Pence.)

Well, that blows my theory, but I still contend that it would serve any political candidate to stage incompetent, foolish stunts against him/herself to make the opposition look like idiots.
