The Chinese are just about fed up with NK.

I always liked that song - catchy beat.

IIRC, the “group” did a duet with the late/great Dusty Springfield.

Has it already been declared as non-terrorism?

By our worthless government, yes. By the Japanese government? I imagine they're ready to start bashing heads in.

NAF Atsugi is several miles from the Sagamihara Depot. It is also separated from the Camp Zama Army base. My concern is that there used to be a large family housing area there. Don’t know if that is still the case or not.

It is not the NAF but it is the army storage depot.

No injuries per reports.

No flames, but the life of a dear friend was saved because he had his helmet on while riding a bicycle. He broke every bone in his face, and a majority of the bones above his waist. The helmet was what kept his skull from caving in.

Now as a conservative I believe in personal responsibility, so you absolutely have the right to decide not to wear a helmet. But we need more conservatives in this country, not fewer, so please be careful.

FRegards.

Except of course for that horrible Sarin gas attack on the Japanese subway.

Come to NC and ride with me - either mountain bikes or road bikes. Believe me, you’ll want a helmet.

Dunno about other people, but I grew up in Brooklyn, NY riding bikes. My generation is the last that knows how to actually ride a bike, that being intelligently. I don't associate myself with the giant idiots that ride one-speeds and don't pay attention to their surroundings.

Hmmmm ..?? That’s an interesting observation.

But, how deep is the water turbulence .. and what affect would it have on the subs ..??

Funny you mentioned the Tokyo Sarin gas attack:

There was soooooo much more to it than just that, though I understand the Western media wasn’t very interested in all the other-worldly-sounding other details.

There was more than just one attack, for example. And even a little-known aspect that involved an Oscar-class ex-Soviet submarine sold on the black market to Aum ShinRiKyou, for example:

It gets SUPER weird and scary, but we’ll leave that for another time.

The important part about this attack:

It absolutely IS a matter for deep concern however I strongly think this is not the start of any immense, well-organized attack.

Yeah, right. I know, I know.

The Norks want firstly to save face for Kim Jong Un, who having recently gotten himself into a military/diplomatic jam now has to appear to his own psychos to have pulled off some type of biiiig victory.

Secondarily they will probably later ask for some dough and food, maybe.

My strong guess is this has NOTHING to do with Islam at all (though I do scoff at that every time people throw that out) and there’s going to be no immediate wider war in Asia regarding THIS particular thing.

SK and China will continue throwing NK bones (cash, food), since they judge that a muuuch cheaper course of action than a general collapse of the North Korean regime.

View this crisis as similar to the torpedo attack years ago (which did sink a pretty prominent SK ship).

The only question remaining in my mind is if they’ll also throw in a torpedo attack this time, too, since their sub fleet putting to sea in such numbers is EXTREMELY rare.

I was gonna say, that’s how the most recent Godzilla movie started out. Tried to blame things on an earthquake.

If RT is reporting what NHK says.... then maybe NHK would be a better source... :p

See my google map of the place. There is not only base housing to the west side, but there are houses and large apartment buildings all around the perimeter, and train tracks on the south side of the depot. There’s even a Japanese shrine right in the north center of the base

It might be true, and I hope it is, that there were zero deaths and casualties, but I won’t be surprised if there are many.

I’m sure all the ammo bunkers pointed up, but there were reports of explosive chemicals in the warehouses.

We’ll have to wait until the excitement dies down.

So was this explosion as big as the one that rocked China last week?
