I Like Donald Trump. I REALLY do. But...
Vanity ^ | 8/29/2015 | Self

Posted on 08/29/2015 9:18:10 AM PDT by cuban leaf

Though this is a vanity, I have linked to the foundational source of my point.

I REALLY like what the Trump is saying. I like his attitude, I lake his effectively destroying PC and his takedown of the MSM. I like seeing all the liberal and GOPe heads exploding. I especially like him running a screen for Cruz.

But I would be very concerned about a Trump presidency. If you look at his stances in the past and some that are current and couple that with is personality, attitude and MO, and imagine him as the "strong man" in the article in the link, you will see where I am coming from.

Before a Lord to whom a thousand years is as a day... you are ass-u-me’ing that all of note must happen of pure earthly foundations.

“navigating the land mines of Washington”

Maybe there are a lot less land minds than we think there are?
Maybe Trump will have a lot of power because he will have a majority of Americans behind him.
I mean if he does what he says.
George Bush could only wish he could have spoke as easy as Trump.
Something tells me President Trump is not going to take any crap.
Look how he said the va gunmen problem wasn a mental illness and not a gun.
He is able verbally disarm anyone who comes up against him.
Often he exposes them for the shcmucks they are.
He called Anthony Weiner a pervert.:)

The media's landmines and New York City are a piece of cake compared to Washington....not even comparable Laz......Trump doesn't know the terrain so for him it's be like walking into the Demilitarized Zone....which can blow up in his face and surely will. We've watched Trump stumble just in his "political" campaign alone...though he recovers it's not without exerting loads of energy time and space in doing so........and this without the nation standing in the balance when he slips. He's just a candidate now.

However, and if he makes, when he hits the "Walls" and "Landmines" of Washington he's going to have a very real and profound awakening and one he isn't going to be able to wiggle around as he's accustomed to doing...he's going to have to 'KNOW' where the cracks are to slip through what he wants done...and he simply will not have the "time" to figure those out...he will be at the mercy of those around him.

Cruz on the other hand already knows and has a team already lined up when his feet hit the ground. Thus i will remain In Cruz's court....

You hit on a core issue here.

The bible says that in the last days it will be worse for the living than at any time in human history. I firmly believe we are on the cusp of such times. I think it will be very bad no matter who is elected because I think we are past the time for a human solution. This means the final ruler will be the ultimate strong man - the beast.

I know the beast will gain power in his time, but I don’t want to be one of the ones that voted for him, whoever he ends up being.

If it’s meant to be, it will happen. Democrats had their Trump back with Huey Long and that wasn’t meant to be. I think Trump will be more like Teddy Roosevelt. Inclined to do everything his way regardless.

It’s like every child’s toy “cap” is treated as a land mine because every time it is stepped on and goes pop, people start screaming “LAND MINE! LAND MINE!”

Trump scoffs righteously at the P.C. behind such concepts.

a solid thirty years as a Conservative Republican ... and some people want to compare Trump to him?
At least Trump won't sign an Amnesty bill.

Um, non sequitur.

Being past the time for a human solution does not mean being past the time for a divine solution to the good, acknowledging of course that it will not last forever on the surface of this temporary earth.

Christians often have this weak way of wringing their hands. Christ asked, when he returns, will there be faith on the earth. I think he was implying that no, there won’t be (in any significant sense).

LOL I cannot disagree more. The viciousness in NYC is about 80% of DC, but it's still 80%.

And you gotta remember, people who believe like us who do know DC will be right there by his side. This might be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to reverse what's been going on in DC.

By “past the time for a human solution”, I mean a humane one devised by humans. The strong man - or all out world war - will solve the problem, but it will hurt a bit. Which again brings us to bible prophesy and our current events.

Get back with me on that in October. ;-)

Congratulations! You managed to compare Trump to Washington, Reagan, and Putin (!) in one post.

I think that sets a new bar for unbridled adulation.

Well, God never wanted that kind of philosophy in the first place. It is exactly when humans confess to being too weak but that God deserves the glory, that God steps up and shows Himself powerful again.

It is a biblical theme; it isn’t necessarily an eschatological theme. Earth is processing through all human souls. Only God the Father knows the day and the hour.

For the most part, yep. It’s not how it happened when Jesus was resurrected. But it is generally true. I think you address part of why, in the end, there is not only a great falling away but also a great revival. And I think we are witnessing the beginnings of it now.

It won't matter if Trump has the people behind him in Washington or not....their purpose is to vote...then it's a done deal.....and it's also not about taking peoples crap in Washington....it's about taking over Washington and getting it back on track to represent the people...THAT is not what it is now.

He is not going to be able to just go there and throw his weight around....as some think...he doesn't know the terrain at all and he's slipped a lot in his campaign alone....he will do likewise in Washington but our nation is in the balance then.....there's a vast difference.

Washington is not going to be about exposing "shumucks" we already know who they are...it's going to be about ridding Washington of them....arrests and the like....Trump knows nothing of how that's done where it sticks let alone "how" to make that happen. He will be resisted and swinging isn't going to get him what he wants.

Washington isn't Hollywood, nor China, Nor Mexico....not the streets of NY City. ....it's a corrupt and powerful entity with tentacles throughout the World.......he must learn that terrain or we will surely fall....there is 'not time' for Trump to learn what he will need to know. .....and is he even teachable? I think not.
