The pro-sodomy crowd are nothing if not vicious.
The supporters of the clerk are listed, the opponents are not. Threats to life are rampant, too, and the phone numbers of supporters are probably disseminated far and wide.
That the some of wannabe elected criminals are joining the pro-sodomy crowd surprises me, but it's their political funeral!
I wonder what her Iranian friends think of that.
I’m glad that Cruz, Walker, and Jindal are standing up for religious liberty. These are three good men whom I could support.
Who are the ither two? Kasich and Krispy?
And that attendant was elected by her community and serves on a government-run airline?
Silly season...
Has Jebito weighed in on this?
Jindal's quote was, "I don't think anyone should have to choose between following their conscience and religious beliefs and giving up their job and facing financial sanctions." He didn't say only government employees.
No idea. I just heard Fiorino was saying that.
This is typical of his blather. This was his answer in the debate:
“ KELLY: Governor Walker, in February you said that we needed to gain partners in the Arab world. Which Arab country not already in the U.S. led coalition has potential to be our greatest partner?
WALKER: What about then, we need to focus on the ones we have. You look at Egypt, probably the best relationship weve had in Israel, at least in my lifetime, incredibly important.
You look at the Saudis in fact, earlier this year, I met with Saudi leaders, and leaders from the United Arab Emirates, and I asked them whats the greatest challenge in the world today? Set aside the Iran deal. They said its the disengagement of America. We are leading from behind under the Obama-Clinton doctrine Americas a great country. We need to stand up and start leading again, and we need to have allies, not just in Israel, but throughout the Persian Gulf.
Then Scott Walker was asked about Iran: To me, you terminate the deal on day one, you reinstate the sanctions authorized by Congress, you go to Congress and put in place even more crippling sanctions in place, and then you convince our allies to do the same. This is not just bad with Iran, this is bad with ISIS. It is tied together, and,we need a leader who once and for all whos gonna stand up and do something about it.
What does it mean, This is not just bad with Iran, this is bad with ISIS. It is tied together . . .
Egypt is in Israel???
When did "her community" become relevant in this mess? I don't see anyone asking "her community" if they want that marriage license issued.
Oh, so they are gonna do to this woman what they won’t do to Obama, Lerner and Hillary? LOL!
The problem is that the exact same arguments can be applied by the Sanctuary Cities crowd that say enforcing immigration laws violates their religious principles as a “good” Catholic (whatever that means).
That was a possibility. Of course, she could have sued, and it would have been tied up in trial for a while. I don’t know why they didn’t fire her.
But in her job, if a license is not signed, it is not valid, right? So regardless of the specific meaning of “issue,” she was by withholding her signature failing to issue the license.
Because she holds an elected office.
I love when our cases are filed most do not meet the ‘standing’ test, if we actually get to court and win then the other side appeals, delays implementing the courts decision (think Washington DC and the 2nd amendment case) and other stalling tactics. I have never heard of the other side going to jail for contempt of court for failure to following the court’s decision.
Yeah, this is a big problem. Goose and gander stuff.
