less than nothing

Trump: “I play to people’s fantasies. . . . I call it truthful hyperbole. It’s an innocent form of exaggeration — and a very effective form of promotion.”

Imagine if the Uniparty was as concerned with presidential oaths to the nation.

Shouldn’t the Republicans take an oath to the conservative ideals they espouse while running?

Trump just identified himself as your typical New York City flimflam artist.

Obama swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Where was the Compost on that one?

"Chris Cillizza of the WaPo blog The Fix argues that since the RNC’s loyalty pledge for 2016 candidates isn’t legally binding, Donald Trump could–and might–ignore it anyway."

Trump also knows that running as an independent would be a waste of money and would deliver the White House to Hillary. What he has done by signing is gotten the other 16 candidates to sign pledges to support him if he wins the nomination.

Gotta love anyone who can drive the inside-the-beltway crowd into such a state of apoplexy. At the very least, Trump can't possibly be as bad a president as Obama. He loves America, he doesn't hate it. Meanwhile, watching them all lose control of their bodily functions and fall into incoherent rants is lots of fun.

GOP front-runner Donald Trump signed a formal pledge crafted by the Republican National Committee that he will not run for president as an independent if he doesn’t win the party’s nomination.

The leftist "Harpies" will continue to attack, criticize Trump on any and every angle they can find.

Trump signing the pledge allays fears and concerns by the RNC, and, it demonstrates Trump's commitment to the party. It also unifies other candidates if they, too, would sign a formal pledge if they have not already.

Of course, we all know that such documents are not enforceable in any meaningful way. So what?

What fool would believe them?

Oh wait. I forgot the years 2012 and 2014.

Nevermind.

It only binds the candidates, not the RNC or and congressman, senators, governors, etc. Trump lost the deal.

All Trump did....was say he won’t run as an independent. He can create any political party he desires...out of thin air, and it’s all legit.

This stupid loyalty pledge? Probably the most bogus thing the party has dreamed up in twenty years. A sign of just how stupid the Republicans have become.

Trump: I play to people's fantasies

What was yesterday's event? It was the Chairman of the RNC coming to the castle to discuss the signing of a treaty. Afterwards, the envoy disappeared, and The Donald held a press conference (which he totally controlled) with the adoring people at his side.

Message: loyalty oaths will be signed because The Donald said it is so. Jebster and the other jokers must pledge loyalty to The Donald.

JMHO. Trump's very smart lawyers decided that Trump could be kept out of primaries under some conditions. They did the calculus and decided it would be too expensive to fight the legal battle, so they turned the situation as much as possible to their advantage.

Trump had better make sure that THEY understand loyalty is a TWO-WAY STREET.

I think we have to coin a new phrase TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). I’ve even seen cases of the infection here on FR.
