White House aide beaten and robbed in violent attack by two suspects who stole his government issued Blackberry cellphone
A White House aide was beaten and robbed in a violent attack that occurred earlier this summer in Washington, D.C.
The victim, who is a junior White House aide, was jumped by two suspects when he was walking near the Columbia Heights Metro Station on Irving Street, NW on July 14 around 11:30pm, WTTG reported.
The aide was jumped from behind and punched in the face twice by his two assailants.
The suspects went through the victim's pockets when he fell to the ground and stole his wallet, government Blackberry and backpack.

It’s in an area of DC that I would say is mildly safe (all daylight hours for sure). But generally, if you hang out or stay near a Metro station of any type in DC...there’s ‘critters’ there who go after anything and jump to the rail to escape. Both the DC cops and Metro cops refuse to do anything to improve the security of the subway system.

Big difference from early Metro days. Once caught a late NYC return shuttle to DC and got the night’s last train, just in time to see about 8 cops with pump shotguns guarding removal of daily cash. Impressive back then.
Hire up 200 former military guys as Metro cops....in plain-clothing...and let them hang around the stations and ride the railway system. Arrange for a massive pain for any teenager arrested for a crime...actually put them into detention for months, not hours. Any hint of a real physical act against anyone....put up serious charges and not releasing them in a matter of days back out to the ‘jungle’. Hire up a dozen non-DC judges and let them start proceedings within ten days after an arrest.
They couldn't find Hillary's Ebay store or Craigslist listing?
Supposedly two arrests have been made, though this is only now being reported, almost 2 months after it happened? They are hiding something criminal or embarrassing is my assumption.
