Images of Alyan face-down in the surf circulated world-wide on Thursday, spawning outrage at the perceived inaction of developed nations.
In a statement to police obtained by the Hurriyet newspaper, Abdullah said he had twice paid smugglers to take him and his family to Greece but their efforts had failed. I want the whole worlds eyes on us (because) we have experienced a disaster. Let this be the last.
According to Canadian journalist Terry Glavin, who spoke to the aunt in Vancouver, Aylans father Abdullah had been kidnapped during the Islamic State siege Kobane earlier this year and had all of his teeth pulled out. Wattar says it took pressure from the entire family to convince her not to do it. I rushed to my kids and wife while the boat was flipping upside down. But my children slipped through my hands.
We tried to cling to the small boat, but it was deflating.
I talked to Aylans mother and family on the phone, she told news agencies.
Abdullah was initially planning to go to Europe by himself with the intention of sponsoring his wife and two children once he arrived.
The images of the child lying face down in the shore of one of Turkeys most popular vacationing spots spread throughout social media in just minutes.
Harper said Canada will admit more refugees from the region, but must also continue to stand with its allies in the fight against the extremists who are forcing people to flee their homes. Urgent action required A Europe-wide mobilization is urgent, he wrote.
There were scuffles in Hungary as desperate refugees tried to board trains they thought were heading to Western Europe.
Within hours, however, Citizenship and Immigration Canada said it received no refugee application from the father of the two drowned boys.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada says it did receive an application for Abdullah Kurdis brother, Mohammad Kurdi, but this was rejected because it was incomplete and did not meet regulatory requirements for proof of refugee status recognition.
The boy and his family were Kurds from war-torn Syria trying to cross the Aegean Sea to Greece, according to CNN partner CTV. They did not deserve this. That shouldnt have happened. I was even paying rent for them in Turkey, but it is terrible the way they treat Syrians there, Teema Kurdi, Abdullahs sister who lives in Vancouver, told the Citizen.
All I want is to be with my children at the moment. A hospital official in Bodrum said the bodies would be flown to Istanbul late yesterday before reaching their final destination, Kobane.
Kobani, the familys hometown, has been the scene of intense fighting over the previous year. He looked around for his wife. The ships capsized and coastguards have recovered a dozen dead bodies.
Labor Party legislator Ann Clywd said constituents have been calling her since the photographs appeared.
Turkish media and Canadas National Post identified the young victim as 3-year-old Aylan a Syrian. I saw many tragic things, she was quoted as saying.
The tides also washed up the body of Aylans brother Galip on Hoca Burnu beach on Turkeys Bodrum peninsula.
Why doesn’t anyone want to say in Turkey? They ALL have to pass through Turkey to get to Europe.
Maybe it’s time to divide up Iraq and give the Kurds a homeland?
Perhaps ‘would be better to take action against the original perp.
That would be Islam.
Are people really that susceptible to emotional manipulation?
spawning outrage at the perceived inaction of developed nations.
Are people really that stupid?
Because Erdogan is the one encouraging them to invade Western Europe.
Are people really that stupid?
Yes and Yes.
The story keeps changing.
According to Canadian journalist Terry Glavin, who spoke to the aunt in Vancouver, Aylans father Abdullah had been kidnapped during the Islamic State siege Kobane earlier this year and had all of his teeth pulled out. Even the local {Tampa} media here is trying to make this story their flavor of the week.
Most of the oil is in their land so the other Muslims would rather kill them off to keep the oil.
I wonder where the non-Muzzies are going to decide to take a stand against the Islamofascists. I’m pretty sure America is out. We’ve already gone over to the Muzzie side.
yes, yes

Thanks for commenting on the poorly written paragraph-——I thought it was just me.
.
This guy could’ve flown to europe or canada but he chose to use a boat to get there.
Are there no dentists in turkey?
Yeah, there are, but he’d have to pay them.
Someone posted a link today that suggests the father (if he was, indeed, the father of the dead child) wasn’t on the craft. Something stinks here.
I’ll say it straight. I don’t care if every damn Muslim on the planet washes up on beaches dead. Islam is a disease and they are the carriers.
