I think we have to be honest observers of Trump. We can like half or 2/3rds of what he says and critique the rest of it.

No one can really predict whether Trump’s involvement will help or hurt the result of the primary. Sadly I think the safe bet is that we once again see a social conservative, a “tough-talking” conservative and a RINO battle it out with predictable results. Carson will win Iowa, Trump will win the South and Jeb will win everywhere else. Jeb is a non-factor now, but once his $100 million gets spent, it’ll be a shot in the arm just as it was for Romney who was also feeble until the weeks before the actual voting when he bombarded the airwaves with negative ads. And Trump will be even easier to demonize than Gingrich was.

The difference now of course is that Trump will have as much money as the RINO candidate. But can he win the attack ad war or not? And will he be willing to spend the amount of money and get it done in advance or will he let Jeb get a head start on him and only be in reactive mode?

YES!

The issues he is strongest in are the issues that the Executive has power to accomplish --namely, kicking America's enemies asses and enforcing immigration laws!

Another early-on Cruz supporter here, and still am. But all I can say is, if Trump can can continue to tear a new rectal chute into the establishment Republicrats and still get spectrum-wide support like he is, stand back and let him swing the chain saw a while. It's high time someone opened the windows, let a breeze blow out the stench, and did some housecleaning! Hell's bells, if he did get the nod, I'd feel a lot better pulling the lever for the likes of him, rather than have to choke down the vomit in the back of my mouth and cast a ballot for Ferret Face.

Just so long as I can continue to defend Cruz’s record and conservative credentials, I whole-heartedly agree with you.

But what if Trump wins POTUS and we have to deal with four decades of Cruz on the Supreme Count?

The GOPe / RNC have held sway for all the years of the obama Administration PRETENDING they are standing up for the rest of the Republicans - Conservatives and the middle of the road types. WHEN IN FACT they were worse they pretending. More than half the time they were helping obama shaft all of us. The whole thing has been a SHAM. Every election “Help us take the House back” We Conservatives DID IT FOR THEM... ‘Help us take the Senate back’ .. We Conservatives DID IT FOR THEM... And all we got were LIES, DECEIT and DISLOYALTY from the ELITIST Establishment. GO TRUMP GO ... Make the GOPe EAT DIRT. This is a true Populist Rebellion - A Populist Uprising ... GO TRUMP GO !!! I have not felt this good since GWB beat Kerry in the election... That is a long time not to feel good about what the country is doing. What FAKES and COWARDS the RINOs are Boehner and McConnell — What Turncoats these two are — How could these to even think we would not notice ? GO TRUMP GO — SMASH the GOPe ...

We’re pretty much on the same page. Trump may not be the conservative we are looking for but he will kick some ass in Washington.

Thank you Mr. Robinson, thank you! I sit here, and everyday reader...RARE poster...reading anti-Trump post after anti-Trump post and just pulling my hair in frustration at those on ‘my’ side.

This guy fights. He is not afraid to fight. You punch him and he punches right back and HARD! He hates PC nonsense and tells it like he sees it. He is right on many issues....ones that will guarantee this great country might just survive another generation....regain some of what we’ve lost under Obama. And good FReepers are fighting to take him down!!

No, he is not Conservative....never thought he was. But there is something about him that gives me actual hope. Haven’t had that in a while...I’m 64 and have been turning so pessimistic in my expectations it has scared me.... and I used to be a ‘sunshine susie’. She’s been gone for several years now. I welcome her return!

With every utterance of ‘bimbo’ and ‘stupid’ hurled back at those attacking him, I began to smile again. I hope this lasts. I know it will. He will not ‘walk back’ comments the idiot media gasp at. He will double down and he will win the day.

It will NOT be a bad thing if this ‘movement’ grows and he goes all the way. He is NOT our enemy. He likes Ted Cruz and I see a partnership of some kind growing between them. He will give Cruz cover to continue doing what Cruz does best....or he will include Cruz IN a Trump administration. The fact that Sarah is also being included adds an element of sheer joy to the whole thing.

So yes, guys, quit trying to bring Trump down, sit back and enjoy. I sense he’s in this to win it....all in. Only good can be the result.

Totally agree, half the battle is finding someone who can articulate and fight back the demonic liberal establishment nazis. Thus far, Trunmp is the only man that is doing it, and landing blow after blow.

I’d love to see a Trump/Cruz ticket. In my opinion, unstoppable.

I agree with the goal but he’s a distraction. There’s too much coverage over the guy. This week on in his “Labor Day Message” Obama ordered all government contractors must give paid days off to their employees. Which will add to the final bill of whatever these contractors are doing for US. Not a word of this gets out.

Yeeehaw! Either way it’s a great ride right now. Watching Trump verbally eviscerate the left, including the amnesty weenies is a rare pleasure and there have been so few the past 6 years under the rodeo clown.

What I don't understand about the Trump bashers is that we are still months away before anybody can even vote in a primary. The primary in my own state is April 26 - more than half a year away!

So I don't understand their panic. A lot can change between now and then. I say I'm a Trump supporter today but I have no idea who I'll ultimately vote for on April 26. Maybe Ted Cruz. Maybe Donald Trump won't even be in the race at that time.

In the meantime, I agree with you that we should sit back and watch the show - so long as Trump continues to shred our common political enemies.

I also take note of who Donald Trump is allying himself with. Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin for example. The admiration appears to be mutual. Palin was on TV the other day jockeying for a role in a Trump Administration. Imagine the liberal heads that would explode if Trump got elected and put Palin in a Cabinet level position.

The Trump/Cruz/Palin alliance is one that the anti-Trumpers cannot explain away.

If Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin are okay with Donald Trump, then Trump is okay with me.
