She ordered that the office refuse to issue marriage license. The order was ignored so she is free.
Now what will she do?

Agreed. Dumb Bunning is still afoul of the law.

No sign of breaking news on this at Fox News...on their website now, but not seeing anything whatsoever, other than Cruz & Chuckles plan on visiting her.

Levin mentioned that her attorney is one of the best. Sounds like she was jailed in a banana republic. The Lord works in mysterious ways and her release is just one of them. The fight is far from over. God Bless Kim Davis!

I wouldn’t be surprised either - I think he was just wanting her to serve a few days, not become a hostage political prisoner.

I hope she didn’t give in and apologize to the homosexual mafia. So many who take a stand wind up backing down. God bless her and she is to be admired for her strength.

I hope so too. At the very least, I was afraid she would “cut a deal” and resign in exchange for her freedom.

He didn’t feel the heat. This is strategy. Someone as hard left as Bunning doesn’t back down. I would guess that it is because he did not want to be overturned and set a precedent that would be a setback for the gaystapo.

Defendant Davis shall be released from the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith. Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples. If Defendant Davis should interfere in any way with their issuance, that will be considered a violation of this Order and appropriate sanctions will be considered.

Did she agree to it? Because it sounds like what the judge is saying is that she can continue to be county clerk but cannot run her office.

If cops are not required to show, if firemen are not required to show, if government employees cannot be held liable for not doing things, then why was she?!

NOTHING is the law requires her to issue marriage licenses. Nothing.

The judge here who incarcerated her gets first shot at the appeal. I’m guessing he let her go. Lefty couldn’t take the heat.

Bunning was nominated by President George W. Bush on September 4, 2001

The president often appoints judges as negotiations with senate for other appointees. Its hard to tell if this judge is Bush's choice or part of trade.

She should not have been thrown in jail. It was done by someone who was deathly afraid of the wrath of the fangtooth feminazis.

-- 6th circuit is the same circuit that disagreed with homosexual marriage and forced the Scotus to have a hearing. --

SCOTUS could have taken the first circuit case that came along, that found homosexual marriage in the 14th amendment. SCOTUS does not need a split in order to justify taking a case.

I'm not sure a split forces SCOTUS to rule, any more than variations between the state laws would. SCOTUS took the case because it wanted to announce that it had found the right to homosexual marriage in the constitution.

The only "legally eligible couples" are those who comport with the laws of the state of Kentucky, in other words, are a man and a woman.

This judge is an idiot. She's going to go down to the court house and tell her employees to STOP issuing fraudulent documents with her name on them. Duh.

The deputy clerks are her employees. They work for the elected official. I hope she exerts her authority as county clerk to follow the written laws on the books in Kentucky.
