There can be many issues, but you get it already. Its called hypergamy (your first tag). And in that SWPL, urban, they can end up as a bitter cat lady.
Why would the “woman of today” want to limit herself by forming a relationship with a nasty, mean, smelly man?
I wonder why there is a 35 pt female-male gap in the college population. The male population has a slightly higher mean-IQ than the female population, so if our boys are not going to college at the same rate as our girls, there are a great deal many boys whose potential we are not developing.

Feminism killed the notion of relationships.
Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers were super women. They set high standards for themselves, and men were complimented by their attention. They often received several offers of marriage and could choose the most worthy of them. Because this man would be their partner for life and the father of her children, they were careful to weigh character as well as material considerations. These marriages lasted and were blessed.
Where did we go so wrong?

College educated women today have been indoctrinated by the feminist radicals in our universities into thinking it is “weak” to be a woman.
You see, American women today do not like being women. They reject it. They fight it. They might dress the part, behave the part, but they have no interest in embracing what it means to be a woman.
Many European, Hispanic and non-indoctrinated American women embrace their womanhood. They know its power, they revel in its glory and enjoy everything about being a woman.
That is the problem.....not a shortage of men.
How did it work out for the Victorians?
Problem is nature dictates to a woman she should mate with someone “more powerful” than she is. That used to be defined by physical size and strength which was easy to find. Now that power is defined more by how much money you make, women don’t want to date someone earning less than they do. But paradoxically they’re trying to focus on their career and earn more and more and themselves, continually pricing themselves out of the dating market as they see it.
The irony is feminists want us to defy biology and gender differences all the time when it suits them. But women don’t even consider defying their own instincts and dating a man who earns less than they do, even when reality has shifted to the point where the instincts no longer apply.
Not that it’s a good idea for a man to date a woman who earns more than he does. Defying those instincts are not easy for anyone, but especially for a woman. So most likely she will be unhappy in that relationship and she will let him know it.

Have you ever tried to talk to a young woman who’s graduated with a ‘Studies’ degree? That’s sort of like the college version of ‘Special Education’.
Males are systematically discriminated against in college admissions, and as students. Females are brainwashed to see all men as leering, predatory patriarchs.
Fix that, and there will be no need for an article like this.

Are more women in the workplace precisely because they are paid less, which encourages companies to hire them?
What if suddenly it is mandated that men and women should be paid the same, how many women would lose their jobs?
