An Air Force pilot was assaulted with a bat in Washington state Saturday by masked “anarchists” after they noticed he was displaying two Confederate flags on his motorcycle, police said.
The incident occurred in Olympia, Wash., a few miles west of where the man is stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The pilot was stopped because protesters were marching in the street. Then they surrounded him as they attempted to knock his motorcycle over, according to a police report.
“They sprayed the victim in the face with mace, and struck him in the back with a baseball bat and a glass bottle filled with red paint,” the report said. “The victim suffered severe eye irritation and a bruised shoulder and back. One of the witnesses attempting to assist the victim was also sprayed in the face with mace.”

I see motorcycle guys with confederate flags all the time. Homes out in the country too. Of course, central Virginia is the capital of the south. Washington state is full of left wing anarchists. You won’t see too many Cruz bumper stickers. Only for fear of slashed tires.
Time to review the rules of engagement.

Its my assumption that the pilot was unarmed. Its seems strange that a government that entrusts its aircraft to him would limit his access to personal defense weapons. Again, just an assumption on my part.
Yeah... That was kind of a stumbling block for my critical judgement also.
That these circle-jerkers felt that physically attacking an officially dehumanized, state-proscribed symbol-baring person in this fashion proves that they are NOT anarchists. They are a particularly heinous kind of useful idiot, as crazy as peach orchard boars.

Then the police tell us these ‘anarchists’ did ‘extensive damage’ to city hall while no one, evidently, shot, arrested, or in any way damaged or deterred these fools in response.

BUT, but I’ve been told the protesters were peaceable! Sounds as if they were ready to rumble!
Free Republic doesn’t want solutions to these problems posted. Beginning to literally not care anymore.
If he was traveling to or from base he was likely disarmed, as weapons are prohibited on base.
