FERGUSON Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says he probably wouldnt have used deadly force against Michael Brown, the teenager whose fatal shooting by police Officer Darren Wilson sparked a national debate on race and the role of police.
Carson gave an interview to the Post-Dispatch on Friday afternoon after visiting Ferguson. When asked if he would have shot Brown if he were in Wilsons shoes, Carson said: Its hard to say. I probably, knowing who he was, I probably just would have arrested him.
Carson said he would have waited for backup before having the altercation.
A Justice Department investigation concluded that Wilson had reason to fear for his life and thus couldnt be prosecuted for fatally shooting the unarmed 18-year-old.

Dear police....turn in your guns.
Buh-bye Ben.
So long Carson.
I’m going to take a guess that Carson is.............well.....black.
Uh, uh, to espouse teaching young kids in government schools to masturbate.. Jackin’ Jocelyn - don’t cha’ know???
Carson made a truly stupid answers. More and more he is revealing himself as clueless and on the wrong side of issues.
We have to ask. Why wouldn't Dr. Carson have shot Mike Brown? Would he have shot an oversized threatening white person in the same situation? Does he assume the policeman is lying about the danger he faced?
I can't think of any good reason why a person who was threatened like that wouldn't shoot in order to defend themselves.
Ben Carson is an extremely smart man and seems like a first class individual.
The people who clamored for him to run for president didn’t do him any favors.
So he’s fine with getting bulldozed and beaten, then disarmed and shot, by a 6’4” 300 pound charging suspect. Thanks for your opinion, Doctor, but the police officer just didn’t feel that was his best option. And neither do I.
The luxury of hindsight.
a.k.a., LaLa Land.
He’s a nice guy who as president might get a lot of people killed and this country destroyed.
FUBC.
Is there something wrong with Carson all of a sudden, or has he always been this strange and we are just finding out?
Why would there even be conversation like this to begin with?
He’s a well known surgeon, not some police officer on the street trying to do his job...
Wow, I think Trump just brought out what had to be brought out for us to see this guy is NOT presidential material...
Alan Keyes, Herman Cain—the GOPe knows that a certain segment of conservatives is (like Democrats) eager to prove that they aren’t racist by backing a black man for president.
Have him be pro-life and propose a flat tax and the conservative vote-splitting, black candidate is good to go—however non-existent his record and non-conservative his perspective.
He’s a liberal.
Running for president now consists of answering hypothetical questions.
Bye, Ben......nice knowing ya.
The implication by Mr. Carson is that the cop MURDERED Michael Brown.
I’m not sure if we want a person with a mindset like that to be on the top of our ticket.
Looks like the Republican Elites will have to find a new person to try to stop Trump.
...be ready for Romney 2.0.
He’s going to have a big fall with his supporters. He’s playing the race card.
There are plenty of cases around that he could have commented on, but he chose this one where the grand jury said the policeman was justified. Now Carson is stirring it up again.
Answered as a brain surgeon, not a trained law enforcement officer.
He needs to not answer ridiculous questions like these - hypothetical “gotcha” setups.
