Have you tried Leviticus 25:1-7 and Deuteronomy 15:1-3 for an explanation? (And no I didn’t see Shemitah spelled out there either.)

Of course “rapture” is not in the Bible either, so obviously you’re not required to believe in it, right?

I didn't think that any discerning Christian believed in that malarky.

I just believe what the preserved Word of God plainly says,

1Thess 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Why can't I just believe in being 'caught up.' Where in the Word of God does it say, I have to use obsecure Latin translations, or for that matter ancient Hebrew translations of words in the Bible, to get the "real' meaning of what God is plainly teaching in His own Word?
