I don’t think Trump is philosophically conservative, but he is philosophically American.
That puts him head and shoulders above most of the pack who are multi-national politicians.
That is a very good way of putting it.
Very well said!
At this point in history, it’s better to have a nationalist moderate than a corportist mainline GOP “conservative”. I don’t doubt Trump will disappoint us on social issues but if somebody doesn’t deal with immigration, trade and the military it won’t matter.
Yup, you hit the nail on the head there.
>> I dont think Trump is philosophically conservative, but he is philosophically American <<
Agreed. Exactly like Joe Biden.
I haven’t seen anyone phrase it that way. Well done. I’m going to use that with people.
Well stated!
Yes.
There are globalists in both parties. There are globalists right here.
They have left America behind, emotionally. They need to appeal to people who are American in their bones to get to where they want to go, but to them, personally, America is in the past.
The battle is not red v. blue. It's not Republican v. Democrat. It's not even really conservative v. not-conservative.
It's American v. Globalist.
There are people (like me) who, when they hear "Make America Great Again" feel their hearts glow within them. Then, there are the Jonah Goldbergs who, when they hear "Make America Great Again" say, "What are you talking about?".
It's on. Finally.
Go Trump!
America isn't America without conservative, originalist constitutional principles.
Trump needs to be a lot of that.
Excellent!
