I have nothing against Cruz but if winning straw polls meant anything Ron Paul would be President.

I wish they’d provide a little more data. Sample size for instance, would be nice.

More about this outfit(Wiki)
FreedomWorks originated from a conservative political group founded by David H. Koch and Charles Koch called Citizens for a Sound Economy, which in 2004 split into Americans for Prosperity, led by President Nancy Pfotenhauer, and a remainder group which merged with Empower America[not in citation given] and was renamed FreedomWorks, led by President and CEO Matt Kibbe.[7] Dick Armey, Jack Kemp and C. Boyden Gray served as co-chairmen of the new organization with Bill Bennett focusing on school choice as a Senior Fellow.[8][9][needs update] Empower America had been founded in 1993 by Bennett, former Secretary of HUD Jack Kemp, former Ambassador Jeane J. Kirkpatrick, and former Representative Vin Weber.[10] In December 2006, Steve Forbes joined the FreedomWorks board of directors.[11]

The ‘FreedomWorks’ name was derived from a common Armey saying: “Freedom works. Freedom is good policy and good politics.” [12]

On August 14, 2009, after Armey’s leadership of FreedomWorks became a problem to his employer, the lobbying and legal firm of DLA Piper, Armey was forced to resign from his job at DLA Piper. DLA Piper chairman Francis Burch responded that the firm serves clients “… who support enactment of effective health care reform this year and encourages responsible national debate.”[13]

Armey disagreed with FreedomWorks president Matt Kibbe’s use of FreedomWorks staff for the research and promotion of Kibbe’s book Hostile Takeover, which according to Armey put FreedomWorks’s tax-exempt status in jeopardy. Armey has stated, “what bothered me most … was that [Kibbe] was asking me to lie, and it was a lie that I thought brought the organization in harm’s way”.[14]

On November 30, 2012, Armey resigned as chairman of FreedomWorks. Armey told Mother Jones, “The top management team of FreedomWorks was taking a direction I thought was unproductive, and I thought it was time to move on with my life.” Armey stipulated that FreedomWorks was to immediately remove his name, image, or signature “from all its letters, print media, postings, web sites, videos, testimonials, endorsements, fund raising materials, and social media.”[15] Armey claimed that the split was caused by President and CEO Matt Kibbe’s use of FreedomWorks’ resources to write a book, Hostile Takeover, which he personally profited from and which he asked Armey and the board to later acknowledge was written without significant resources from FreedomWorks; Kibbe alleged that the split was a result of competing visions for the direction of the organization.[16] The Associated Press reported that in September 2012, Armey agreed to resign by November 2012 in exchange for $8 million in consulting fees paid in annual $400,000 installments, funded by board member Richard J. Stephenson.[17][18]

Shortly following the split between FreedomWorks and Dick Armey, FreedomWorks again faced public controversy over the creation of a video featuring a panda fellating Hillary Clinton. The video was filmed with two female FreedomWorks employees in costume, one in a panda suit and one wearing a Hillary mask.[19]

Adam Brandon is the current CEO.[4] Matt Kibbe is the current president and former CEO. Kibbe’s wife, Terry, is a fundraiser for FreedomWorks.[20]

FreedomWorks is an associate member of the State Policy Network, a U.S. national network of free-market oriented think tanks.[21][22]
This outfit has DEEP RINO/GOP-e “Roots” and Bear CLOSE Scrutiny.

And these are people who didn’t sit on their butts and click a poll online. These are people who actually took the effort to get out and vote.

All I have to say about the polls that some seem so fixated on.

Polls predicted the John Kerry presidency. Polls predicted Scottish independence. Polls predicted the end of British conservatives.

I couldn’t agree more. So when we finally have a conservative declared candidate, why the “Blank” is not every conservative behind him instead of all over the place with TRUMP-CARSON-friona-whoever? I just don’t get it. If we cant get behind Ted Cruz we will never have a conservative for president again.

Letter from the Cruz campaign states there were “over 2500 in attendance”. Now I don’t know the number who voted or the methodology, but even half of 2500 is a nice polling size. These are also dependable conservative voters.

True, but not 100%. Not all straw polls are created equally. Freedom Works is a good leading indicator of limited government conservative thought. It is a good cross section of people who will ALL vote - and most of whom will contribute, and among which many will work for a candidate. This is not like bussing in the bot teen agers at CPAC for Ron or Rand.

....so, these are the establishment types for Ted Cruz? Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense. We all know the estabs just LOVE Ted Cruz. I mean, if that were not your point, you had no reason to say that above. When Dick Armey was "estab" - the estabs were a LOT LOT LOT more conservative than they are now.

This is how it should be.. BUT...

BUT it could be TRUMP will get more democrats than republican ones..
NOT at the convention of course.. but IF he TRUMPS the republican convention as an independent..

LIke Lisa Murcowsky(R-Ak) in Ak by democrat votes..
Trump could win by democrat votes..

If Trump polls low by convention goers he may go independent..
BECAUSE HE KNOWS many democrats love him..

And WHY? not.. he basically IS A DEMOCRAT..
AND They know it.. Trump has HIVE smell all over him..

Anyone that wants to fix our Country and fix it right needs to support Cruz.

He is not all bluster and name calling.

He is the man for the hour and we need his leadership in the Whitehouse now.

Well yea it does.

Cruz
Carson
Trump
Guess which one is snorting the most Koch.

Besides looking at his voting record look at his wife and her connections with the CFR and with the GW Bush administration too.

And speaking of voting. His vote for the Corker Bill could leave Israeli or even American blood on his hands.

The man is a fraud and you're an apologist for him.

No it doesn’t. Once again you are in a steaming pile of ignorant illogical rantings because I live rent free in your heads and you just can’t resist posting to me when I’ve not posted to you.

I’m raising the IQ level of my poster interactions, so I’m gonna have to be real careful to overcome this dip into the valley. Cruz Trump and Carson carry a poll....and you think it makes sense to call that an establishment poll? What a moron. Your knee pad boi was number 2. Is Trump now an estab candidate.

And quit embarrassing yourself on the Corker bill.
