Interesting. I have a cousin who lives in Tallahassee who was a lifelong Republican, active in party politics and who left the Florida Republican party during Jeb’s Governorship over some argument he had with some of Jeb’s people. I honestly don’t remember much of the specifics, but your comments reminded me of that. I’ll have to call him and ask him about it.

I am a long-time resident of Tallahassee and know local and state GOP politics well. Even if I am not acquainted with your cousin, I am sure that we knew some of the same people.

In all too many instances, Jeb or his people being high-handed needlessly offended or alienated allies, destroyed loyalties to the GOP, or ruptured long-standing friendships. On the other hand, Jeb did a major favor for an old friend of mine in much distress.
