Bill Kristol, the editor of the Weekly Standard, said he would likely look beyond both of the major parties if Trump, the clear frontrunner in the GOP's crowded presidential field, emerged with the party's nomination.

"I doubt I'd support Donald. I doubt I'd support the Democrat," Kristol told CNNMoney in an email. "I think I'd support getting someone good on the ballot as a third party candidate."

So many nobodies making meaningless promises. Kristen must be ignorant about the needs of the American citizens.

Oh, well, nothing new here, just move along.

I’d vote third party, too.

I agree with Kristol. It is time for all RINOs to go Democrat or form their own party.

I’m amused that the liberal media consider people like Kristol, George Will, Hayes, Jonah Goldberg, Hume, Brooks, Rubio, Walker, McCain, Graham, Paul, Christi, Huck, KASICH, JEB, Carson, and so many others as... Conservatives!

Just demonstrates how far left and out of touch the media really is, since they can’t identify a real Conservative.

Poor Bill Kristol. His days of being relevant in any way have ended & he knows it.

Trump will win with or without his vote.

Oh, I see...party loyalty only to GOP-E approved candidates. Thanks Bill!

Wonder what Tom Cotton thinks about Kristol’s throwing his name out for such an endeavor? And Dick Cheney? Cheney should have run in 2008 if he had the desire and the good health.

Sounds like Kristol’ s pulling this out of his rear end.

Unbelievable. Trump was required to sign a pledge to forego a third party run, that I imagine Kristol would have been strongly supportive of. Now Trump is far and away the leading choice for the Republican nomination. And Kristol wants to talk about a third party challenge to him? That escalated quickly. What a fraud Kristol is. Shame, Kristol, shame.

There it is. I predicted that Bush would be more likely to go Third Party than Trump.

We didn’t support a third party when he picked McCain and Romney...we sucked it up and voted for Republicans. Tough isn’t it Bill? But we hung in there and like a five year old he does a hissy fit and takes his toys elsewhere. Loser!

Typical RINO/GOPe/RNC state of mind - "Sometimes, the best way to win is to lose - again and again and again.

He has some supporters right here on FR but we have begun going "Trump" on them and pointing them out.

Yes! They who deem “the voters” stupid if they are not neocons, puffs up, pouts and turns blue because his Establishment can’t run the early show of the presidential primary, by splintering us between 17 candidates! LOL!

This is wonderful. If Kristol gets the message, then the GOPE is getting it. The OLD PLAYBOOK is out.

There is, so far, no crease for Jeb to run through, if we all just stick together.

Watch out for the GOP to move Kasich in position. He who signed his state on to Obamacare.

Ah well we knew this. The establishment won’t support Trump but in their usual hypocrisy will back a third party guy after complaining that Trump shouldn’t be running third party. Idiots.

I’d like TO ask him if several establishment guys voted third party will it not hurt his parties chances? Shouldn’t they just hold their noses and vote Republican? The shoe will be on the other foot this time and they will whine worse than anybody here could have done in 2008 AND 2012.
