Fiorina was anointed to take out trump.

Looks that way. They might have promised her a VP slot if she could get it done, but the end game is still to give Jeb the nomination. They're still trying to figure out some way to create plausible deniability that the whole thing was rigged from the get-go.

I don't disagree, but in my mind, what I saw of last night's performance tended to make me believe Trump's thinking, "It's my nomination -- don't screw it up."

I just think he sat back a little too much last night.

CNN got high ratings - for one night.

Now, they revert to the “also-ran” of cable networks, just a little ahead of MSNBC or maybe Al Jazeera.

We might as well have the election tomorrow. I’m voting for Donald Trump and I won’t change my mind unless he decides to quit. This is Donald’s election to lose because in my mind he’s already won the primary, and looking at the Dems, the general election too.

I thought he acted a little more mature, dignified and presidential like last night.

His hard core fans may want more tough talk and name calling from him, but I thought he handled himself very well last night.

CNN topped all their ratings with this debate....so the media will continue to get people engaged with the " New Trump Political Apprentice Show" as their bait as long as he can give his followers what they seemingly want.

Odd, Bad Hair piece Franky's last phony group did the exact same thing last debate !

Its amazing what a sorry pathetic hoax Fox Leftists News has evolved into due to
Ruperts Murdoch and his dim left wing son's Intense hatred of Trump.

Amen! Trump is the ONLY one with the chops to go all the way, win the primaries, get the nomination and cream the Rats in a landslide.

I do not require or expect him to walk on water, or always have the perfect facial expression or say the perfect, uncriticisable word. If anyone else is the nominee, the Corrupt Bastards win again. We’re already circling the drain. If we don’t elect someone who can STOP and reverse that, we’re screwed as a Nation.

Trump has my vote, no matter what, warts and all.
TRUMP/CRUZ
2016!

Ted has to be smart enough to shape his persona into the likeable, smooth, good looking, good guy demeanor that a huge proportion of the electorate wants.

I heard Ted speak less than a week ago. The guy was on fire. There were 900 people at this event and he hit it out of the park. So many standing Os.

Santorem, Perry, Paul, Huckabee and Carson showed up and none of them got the reaction Ted did. In fact, I looked behind me to measure the crowd when the others were speaking and I was embarrassed for them. Yes, even the vaunted Ben Carson got a paltry response.

The media and the GOPe have no interest in allowing Ted to look good. They don't want any substance. They want someone who will do their bidding and not make an changes that will not benefit them.

When the world is going to rot.

One good thing about this whole deal - Ted is not attracting the microscope right now, it is all on Trump and whomever the GOPe/media can get to try and jump down Trump's throat.

Which leaves Cruz free to continue his ramp-up.

It is really all in God's hands and it will end up the way he wants it to be.

Praise God.

it’s very early in this race, way too early to call.

While I do believe that it is possible that Trump could be a good manager, a good executive I do not think he is what we want as president but, I do believe he could pull it off.

The person I would like to see would be Ted Cruz. If I’m not mistaken Trump is 69 years old, Ted Cruz is a young man. If Cruz does not win the nomination and the presidency then I hope Trump does and names Cruz as his vice presidential running mate. Cruz then gets at least four years as vice president which would be fantastic if Trump had enough sense to give him the same opportunities to lead as George Bush did Dick Cheney. Then Cruz would be in an excellent position to win the next eight years.

I appreciate what Trump has done to help us talk about the things that need to be talked about in this election cycle but when I hear Ted Cruz speak I am enthralled, he is good and understands the U.S. Constitution like no other.

I agree with you. It would be nice for a change to have a president who truly understands our Constitution and all of the reasons why it needs to be protected and not abused.

Right. We’re electing a President, not a Saint.
