It’s an APC.
Consider it a very well armed M113 or Stryker.
Most armored vehicles in any army aren’t heavily armored tanks.

Just what the folks at CombatReform have been shouting from the rooftops for the last decade-and-a-half or so, hoping for upgraded M113s instead of wheelies.

Maybe Ivan will sell us some of theirs.

I was with armored cavalry in Vietnam, and we had to leave our 52 ton M-60s behind about 40-50% of the time.

It’s also amphibious - no significant prep time required. It basically just drives into a river or lake and swims across. Blowing up bridges in front of it wont stop it.
