Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Republican front-runner Donald Trump, “Can you imagine supporting or being comfortable if a Muslim ever became president of the United States?”
Trump said, “I can say it’s something that at some point could happen. We’ll see. I mean you know at some point it could happen. Would I be comfortable? I don’t know if we have to address it right now but I think it’s certainly something that could happen.”
Talking over Todd he added, “Some people have said it already happened, frankly, but, of course, you wouldn’t agree with that.”
Todd said, “But let’s get to that. Why won’t you concede that the president is a Christian and that the president was born in the United States?”
Trump said, “Because I don’t talk about people’s faith. now, in all fairness he said he was a Christian. He attended the church of Reverend Wright and so, you know, I’m willing to take him at his word for that. I have no problem with that.”

I have KNOWN for years that Mr. Obama is a Muslim. This is not new.

Me too. Family and friends wouldn’t listen. When Obama was campaigning back in 2007, before he spoke at a church, he had the church cover up the Cross. That ALONE told me he was NOT a Christian! Additionally, he allowed people to call him “Messiah” which is a Title reserved ONLY for JESUS CHRIST! And he mocked the Sermon on the Mount! I NEVER voted for him! I already new he was and still is anti-Christ!
It was a joke based on something else, but I won’t explain it.

You don’t have to read minds to get what Obama means. It’s evident from the context and flow of the conversation. And if you don’t get it the first time, just seconds later he makes it explicit. GS offers the “Christian faith” correction, but Obama explains that he means that McCain hadn’t suggested that he was a Muslim, i.e, that he hadn’t spoken of his presumed Muslim faith.
The only way you can fail to see this is if 1) you’ve got a tin ear for human conversation, or 2) you really, really, really want to believe that Obama is a Muslim and that this is the big gotcha moment.
I think it’s far more likely that Obama is a typical leftists agnostic or atheist. The interview with GS certainly doesn’t prove otherwise.
Oh and you can take the implication that I’m lying and stuff it somewhere.
What’s that quote from Obama saying when the political winds shift I will stand with the muslims? Sunni or shiite Bammy? Or gay islamischism?

He said that to a school kid. You think Cruz would tell a kid at a school visit that he hates muzzies and he would never give a muzzie a chance? Trump saved his good stuff for the Sunday Shows.
Pay attention to what he has said the rest of the day and maybe you will get what people are talking about.
You are just peeved because Cruz can’t move up and he is a great guy and perfect. Well that is true, but I am not pumped that he could win in the general election. He could do better if he changes some things.
FWIW, Taft being listed as a Unitarian does open speculation about his religious beliefs.

Obama is no Muslim. He thinks Islam is a crock just like he thinks all religion is a crock. He does have a certain aesthetic appreciation for Islam and a certain sympathy for it because of his upbringing that goes beyond the typical leftist sympathy for Islam (which is really an expression of contempt for the West and for Christianity). And of course his Christianity is a politically expedient put-on.
He always keeps something in reserve. They had better watch out for that. Good chess.
Trump did say he had no problem with it-—can’t refute that no way. However would it be on Trump’s agenda to appoint muslims? Highly doubtful. Both Trump and his family work and live in and near NYC. 9/11 and all-— highly doubtful he would compromise on safety or have an islamic mole in his administration. Your point is well taken on face value words spoken— for me its read between the lines on some statements but I wish he didn’t phrase it that way.
