What a pansy of a "man".

If you cannot defend it, you don't own it. Period. This applies to your home, car, purse or body.

The job of an actor is to pretend to be something he’s not....he was good at it.

HE WAS NEVER ‘MacGyver’... he was an airhead actor playing a role.

Who cares what he thinks?

About anything?

What I remember of the Macgyver show was that it was boring, pretentious, and preachy - at a time when none of those attributes were attractive in the least. But television in that era was boring, pretentious, and preachy. All of the originality had been expressed and they were already well into the derivative remakes and spin-offs.

There was a funny (not ha-ha funny) dichotomy where Hollyweird felt compelled to eschew violence - while at the time spitting out violence by the bucket-load. So here came a bunch of shows where “super-heroes” did the impossible all the while scoffing at the idea of lowering themselves to using the tools of the trade - firearms.

Macgyver and the A-team were among the most insipid. Cartoonish and unbelievable.

However, they did me a tremendous service and one for which I’ll be eternally grateful. They served to burst the bubble and break my “suspension of disbelief” that lured me into accepting their BS at face value. I know some who, once the bubble is burst refuse to ever sit down to an event put on by one of these kartoon klowns like RDA (One of my brothers is stridently against watching anything that has Tom Cruise or Liam Neeson in it). I’m not afraid of the lefty boogieman but I am selective about where I spend my dollars.

Anderson is welcome to his hypocrisy - it looks like it has fed him well over the years.

Is he still enormous? I mean he just put in the poundage once the camerawork dried up.

This from a guy who spent years on a series where he was shooting all kinds of guns at everything. Stargate bs.

Wasn’t MacGyver the guy who could take a radio shack clock and turn it into a deadly bomb?

The reason this nimrod is anti-gun is that he was on the board of directors of Handgun Control.inc before it became the Brady Campaign.

Well, if I could create the weapons he could out of chewing gum, the spring in a ballpoint pen and duct tape, I might not feel I needed to carry a gun either.

He made a ton of money playing a gun toting military guy in the Stargate Series. Didn’t seem to bother him then.

. . . Richard Dean Anderson—star of the hit 1980’s show MacGyver—in which Anderson talked about how he is not proud of the USA when it comes to the country’s gun culture.

I (almost) have something in common with that sissy. I'm not proud of the USA when it comes to our infringements on the God-given individual right of the people to keep and bear arms. There should be no restrictions on silencers or on short-barreled rifles/shotguns. There should be no federal background checks because there should be no restrictions on adults purchasing firearms. There should be no gun registration of any kind at any level of government in our country. Convicted felons who are safe enough to release from prison should regain all their constitutional rights upon release, including the right to keep and bear arms.
