Donald Trump went on State of the Union Sunday with Jake Tapper. During the discussion Tapper questioned him on the Muslim problem.
Trump reminded Tapper, “It wasn’t people from Sweden who blew up the World Trade Center, Jake.”

After refusing to reprimand a supporter who talked about the “problem” with Muslims in the United States at a town hall this week, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump doubled down Sunday, saying there is a “very severe problem” with some Muslims.
“It wasn’t people from Sweden who blew up the World Trade Center,” Trump told Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“I get that — but to say we have a problem and it’s called Muslims because there are some extremist Muslims, is tarring all Muslims,” said Tapper.
“Well I don’t agree with that at all, but you have extremist Muslims that are in a class by themselves,” said Trump, who leads the Washington Examiner’s presidential power rankings. “It is a problem in this country and it’s a problem throughout the world. I mean all you have to do is look at Europe.”

How come Carson was able to say, very clearly, that islam is incompatible with the American way, while Trump is still struggling to say something on this topic that makes sense?

I don't see how anyone can make a statement like Ben Carson did without understanding this clearly.

DUH!!! Muslims are DANGEROUS! They have a DANGEROUS god.
Because Carson isn’t really a threat to anybody, he requires minimal attention. Trump, on the other hand, is a threat and requires maximum attention. His ability to finance his own campaign makes him a big a threat to the status quo and the people that profit from the status quo who are intent upon restricting our choice to Bush or Clinton.
Because Trump has already shown more courage on both the illegal issue and the Muslim issue than any 100 politicians, and he knows (as do we all) that he’s already walking a tightrope, and doing it well, keeping his balance. The media is just waiting for something they can make hay with-they’ve already tried to make him responsible for what someone else said, for pity’s sake. He’s said enough for me to have a good idea where he stands on these issues, and it’s not anti-America.
And he hasn’t ONCE called it “the religion of peace”, lol. That’s a profile in courage right there, for an American presidential candidate-but wait, there’s more-he says “it wasn’t Swedes who blew up the WTC”, to boot! Now, you’d think that that would be no more than an obvious fact, but the government and their allies like CAIR have spent years trying to convince folks that Muslims are the victims in this deal! (Never mind Fort Hood, Chattanooga, the lady in Oklahoma, etc).
The corrupt marxist media LOVES the musloids...especially when they are killing Christians.
He's not a big threat to the status quo if his views---e.g., "I love moslems"---are no different from the status quo.
Which is the Christian enemy, in the spiritual sense.
Trump loves them too. He said so unequivocally.
Makes perfect sense to me.
