Bush blasts Trump’s border wall and deportation plan

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush reaffirmed his support Monday for allowing undocumented immigrants to earn legal status, denouncing proposals to build a wall at the Mexican border and deport those living in the United States illegally.

Both are plans touted by billionaire businessman Donald Trump, who has topped the Republican field in recent polls.

After initially steering clear of Trump, Bush has become more outspoken in his criticism of the frontrunner with a penchant for incendiary comments about illegal immigration.

“We need to respect the rule of law. There’s national security questions, public health questions. There’s important questions about protecting and securing the border. But we don’t need to build a wall. We don’t need to deport every person that’s in this country, that would cost hundreds of billions of dollars,” Bush said to applause at the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce convention in Houston.

Trump really needs to come up with a cost comparison. Dollars spent on welfare for illegals vs the wall.

This is why America will turn around next year.

The Bushes have sold out America.

All of them. For over one entire generation, our “leaders” have been for other countries.

Trump is for America.

Jeb's weird. I'd think his telling a cheering hispanic Chamber of Commerce that he wouldn't build the wall and he wouldn't deport invaders will boost Trump's numbers a few percentage points.

Google “Operation Wetback”

The US was able to deport 1 Million illegals in 1954 without the resources we have now such as Drones, FLIR, IR, Nightvision, Computer databases, etc....

If we can deport 1 million just using manpower, imagine what we could do with modern technology?

Jeb is just a little bitch.

Out of his mind if he thinks anyone is going back to eating this dog food again. With this candidate the GOP vote share will be lower than Perot’s.

Who is advising this goober? I can’t think of a better way to lose votes than to say this to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

NOT deporting illegals costs millions every year - year after year.

Add it all up, it’s still cheaper in the long run to do a one-time expense, than pay rising welfare/policing costs forever. Bush’s math is wrong.

But after seeing Hungary put up a wall in only a few weeks I guess Bush is no longer pushing the “building a wall is impossible” meme.

Sounds like a good investment to me.

Yeb sez: "We need to respect the rule of law..."

If his mother was there, and she was honest, she would have walked up to the podium and slapped Yebbie across the face.

Every time you go to the grocery store and check out, the illegal in the next line is STEALING from you and you didn’t even feel it.

When the government grants special favors to illegals (bribe to vote money) we are being robbed and can’t do anything but watch it happen for the “so called” conservative party (Republicans) makes a lot of noise about it but won’t dare do anything about it...for they are on the “take” too.....for votes.

Yes, but fraudulently documented foreigners do not.

¡Yeb! is loyal to Mexico and Mexicans, not America and Americans
