After months of declining to take a position on the Keystone XL pipeline, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton says she opposes the construction of the project.
"I think it is imperative that we look at the Keystone XL pipeline as what I believe it is: A distraction from the important work we have to do to combat climate change, and, unfortunately from my perspective, one that interferes with our ability to move forward and deal with other issues," she said during a campaign event in Iowa Tuesday.
"Therefore, I oppose it. I oppose it because I don't think it's in the best interest of what we need to do to combat climate change."

This likely means that Warren Buffet's Choo Choo company paid the Clinton Foundation more than Big Oil!
How drunk was she in that picture? OMG what a lush. She is no leader. Just a guzzler.
There’s a winning campaign item.....not
She does know it’s all about shipping right??
You can bet on it!
Well it’s mandatory if she is gonna beat Sanders or somebody from Team Chicago in the D primaries.
This is also payback for Royal Dutch Shell being granted the drilling concession in the Artic— and making a nice donation to Obama’s post-presidential foundation.
There’s an unspoken shooting war going on— between Obama and the Clintons for corporate donations to family foundations which are little more than graft payments. Of course, the GOP is asleep at the switch— wake up over there in Dumbassistan, to the Democrats, government is the family business.
Ah, the focus group finally wrapped up.
What a friggin’ piece of work she is...
She has to catch up with Comrade Bernie.
It would be fun if Obama had his Justice Dept indict her over emailgate and then extorted a couple hundred million for a POTUS pardon.
The alternative to the pipeline is to transport the oil by train, which emits more carbon than a pipeline. stupid...
Easy call when gas is two bucks a gallon.
Well these days those choo-choo train profits accrue to regime affiliates like Warren Buffet and Bill Gates.
Will we burn less petroleum if the XL pipeline isn’t built?
Then what difference, at this point, does it make, Hillary?
Let’s not talk about facts when we all know that emotions are what matters.
In a sane world this would destroy her chance of carrying any state in “Middle America”
You’re right. I think I’ll go out in the garage and beat my chain saw to pieces with a sledge hammer then go outside and hug a tree. It’s time to make peace with nature.
Exactly, she was holding out her opinion for the highest bidder.
the oil will still be pumped and burned, so how is opposing the pipeline to get it to where its needed faster and cheaper going to “combat global warming” ?
