It just strikes me as highly irresponsible to be so inaccurate, either through stupidity or deliberately.
Why DEBKA repeatedly does so should make them a unreliable source for any kind of news—especially by the Free Republic community!
There are big issues involving Syria, our messed up, twisted response to their civil war, and now the Russians being involved militarily, but DEBKA doesn’t need to throw in crap to further convolute the issue (nor should Pravda, but they are the Russian government’s news organization).
Any site that allows ZeroHedge to be posted freely isn’t going to ban Debka. Caveat emptor.
Debka and LiveLeak are saying this...but I have not seen one single picture to substantiate it...either in Tartus, or leading to Tartus.
The Liaoning would have had to transit either the Suez Canal or the Straits of Gibraltar.
Either would have been HUGE news in itself as she passed into the Med.
Did we hear anything about that?
I keep track of this stuff religiously, and have not seen one single pic of that or heard about it wither.
Now...perhaps she did...but I will believe it when I see it.

Bias against Debka - sure. I’ll change my view when those 100,000 Chinese troops show up to throw the US out of Afghanistan.

9/27/15: DEBKAfile reports that another two Russian naval vessels were heading for Syria in the last 24 hours: The Tapir-class landing ship Saratov with 300 marines and at least 15 tanks aboard, and the Russian navy’s largest guided missile cruiser, the Moskva.
(Reports elsewhere say the Russians have been sending in T-90 tanks - perhaps to match the captured M1A1s)

I doubt it. Some folks intentionally ignore facts, even when their noses are rubbed in it. Anyone who yells ‘bias’ that quickly is looking to play the victim card.
