Well, here is how the Muslim will answer Dr. Carson....
Muslims present specific Quranic citations in order to convince non-Muslims, especially Westerners, that Islam is a very tolerant religion that allows for or even promotes peaceful coexistence with other religious groups. The most famous citation, one that I am sure many Westerners have heard presented on the media, is the Quran’s Surah 2:256:
“There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. Shakir.”

I saw the Tapper assault on Dr Carson. It was as offensive, degrading and misleading as any performance by the leftist press I have seen. Dr Carson handled it very well and his aid called it off when the abusive nature had gone on long enough.
As a country we have to make the distinctions Dr Carson is making.

other religions such as Islam, Mormonism, etc demand to be above the laws of America..
He is a calm genius on this subject (and others).
It’s the truth. An open Muslim would be forced to put the Constitution over some of the tenets of his faith in order to be a good President.

A line of dialogue really captured the essence of this topic. One of the conspirators, wounded by cops and captured, sneers at attempts to pull information from him. He says: "Your laws are MEANINGLESS to us."

I would imagine that countries who subscribe to Sharia law, etc. would find it impossible to live under a constitutional republic of the kind we would like to see established in their midst. Some people actually *do* prefer slavery to freedom. Actually, I am ignorant of our attempts to democratize Iraq and Afghanistan. What are we trying to do there? Are we insisting that they live under a Constitution just like ours?
