Donald and Melania Trump's Unlikely Love Story: Why She Initially Refused to Give Him Her Number
People ^ | 9/30/2015 | Jess Cagle and Charlotte Triggs

They could end up being America's First Family, but when Donald and Melania Trump first met in 1998, they almost didn't get together. When asked to describe the moment he met Melania and the moment he fell in love with her, Trump says, "It may have been the same moment." Introduced at a party in 1998, one year after he had split from his second wife, Marla Maples, "I saw Melania and I said, 'Who is that?' "Trump recalls. "She was a very successful model. She was terrific. I tried to get her number, and she wouldn't give it to me." Why the cold shoulder? "He came to the party with a date!" Melania explains, laughing. "I had heard he was a ladies' man, and so I said, 'I'm not one of the ladies.' He said later that he sent her to the ladies' room so he could get my number. I was like, 'Oh what a sneaky way!'

Boogieman, you might as well give up. She’s either not getting it or choosing not to get it. She will continue to evade the point ad infinitum. Your argument was clear and concise. I’m sure there are many others who are high-fiving you at their keyboards. :)

Truth is not hate.

Repeating, trumpsters need to stick to economics. Trying to make Trump a saint will not end well

“No one that God has put in leadership positions in the Bible was perfect either.”

Yes, yes, we know nobody is perfect. However we have a responsibility to at least try to insist on some standards in the people WE select for leadership. We are not God, we can’t see the future or look into their hearts, so all we can do is look at their actions, and judge them by their fruit.

Remember, in the NT, when we were allowed to select elders for ourselves from our churches, the apostles gave us such standards to judge people based on. They never said “just pick anybody, because we’re all just as imperfect in the eyes of God.”

Should we get some screen grabs before he makes them remove it?

Ha! You might appreciate this!

Facts aren’t opinions.

If Trump advertised himself as a Christian , I would take your bible quote seriously. He doesn’t soo

And there has never been a hint that he’s a serial rapist (or a rapist at all), and he doesn’t visit orgy pedophile islands, I’m pretty sure. He also doesn’t keep same-sex ‘partners’ around under the pretense of being something or other. We’ve been living with all of that.

Again, you can judge how and whoever you want. If Trump becomes President, God will hold him to a higher standard. And guess what, if you are a parent, or in any non-visible leadership positions in your life, God will hold you also to a higher standard. God meets us where we are because He knows we will sin because of the Fall of Adam and Eve.

There is no doubt in my mind that Trump is being used by our very God for His reasons. This election, if nothing else, will make Trump evaluate his life. I hope he completely turns his life over to God, because he is not there yet. I have prayed for him and his family. What I like about Trump is that he is not hostile towards God, His Word, and His people.

God will judge him and people can judge him at the voting booth.

Who is emphasizing Trump is a saint? This is the first thread I have seen regarding how Donald met Melania. There are at least 500 other threads on Trumps policies on economics, foreign trade, illegals, foreign wars, etc. since Trump declared his run.

Never lose sight of proportions.

No, he’s not hostile. He’s just indifferent. I have found that the indifferent are less receptive to the gospel. It was a cringeworthy moment when he showed up with a Bible as a prop in one of his recent appearances. Does the public have a sign over its head that says “Stupid People”? He seems to think we’ll buy anything he throws out there. I’m just not buying his schtick.

But it’s great that you’re praying for him and his family. That’s as it should be. I, too, would love to see him draw near to God and know Him intimately.

Enquiring minds want to know.

It all depends on what you want to hear........For Trump supporters like me, who cares............?

FWIW, Jesus was the first administrator of welfare when He fed the masses free of charge..........

I doubt even HE could get elected by the purists today..........

Just silliness. Your deductive reasoning skills are similar to Obama's. That statement is analogous to Obama's claim that you either (1) make a deal with Iran, or (2) go to war with them. But I recognize it as the desperate attempt that it is in order to make a convincing case in favor of such a squishy, non-conservative candidate.
