Because Cruz as first banana can’t win. No star power and too wooden in presentation. As second banana or elected to the SCOTUS, he would be great.
Check it out.....Ted Cruz was my first choice for prez in 2016, and he's the ONLY candidate I've ever donated money to.
That said, I had to separate my emotional attachment to him from my intellectual processes, to come to the place where I am now.
Frankly, we're facing something bigger than ideological purity right now. Under 'normal' circumstances, Cruz is the obvious choice, but the country is facing a crisis of existential proportions in this race.
If a Dem or a RINO is elected, the country's gone forever. They'll import and and rubber stamp so many millions of illegals, that a true conservative will never be elected again in this country. Ever. Heck, we'll probably never even see a RINO elected president again, it'll be that concrete of an electoral lock for the Dems.
The Uniparty is all in on this -- both sides. The red side of that party has gone full-tilt traitor to the people, and now has more allegiance to the U.S. Chamber of Crony Commerce, than it does to the Constitution or the people. They WANT "Hope & Change", because it's good for their bottom line - future of the country and the culture be damned.
Stop and look at Ted's numbers over the last three months. Turn off the emotional and turn on the intellectual. Examine his performance with the cold eye of a true conservative, and what do you see? You see a guy who's performing fair to middling at best, despite his exemplary qualifications.
Now, what does that tell you about the state of our world, and the dire situation we're actually in?
It tells you that millions of minds have processed all the available data, and have simultaneously come to the conclusion that we need a different kind of individual in the White House for the next four to eight years.
Someone who others will follow, as they put their boot up the ass of those who are destroying this country. Someone who already possesses the sort of command presence that the enemies of the republic fear and loathe. Someone who will begin tearing down the commie lib constructs from Day One in office.
My friend, the people have already deduced that that person is Donald Trump, and I agree.
