At long last, Chris Christie's campaign is showing a pulse.

There are signs of life in New Hampshire, where the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll puts him in the middle of the pack. In Iowa, where expectations were never high for the New Jersey governor, Christie recently announced endorsements from top members of Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad's political network. His favorability ratings are also on the rebound after a steady slide.

Geesh.....if you torture the data enough and long enough, you’ll eventually get a confession saying whatever you want it to say. Then, all that’s needed is a megadose of optimism, showmanship, diversion and outright bullsh!t to make a headline out of it.

So Rubio’s not working out and Kasich is throwing too many stink bombs? Is Jon Huntsman available?

In other words, as an engineer I’ve spent many a time looking at the noise floor on a spectrum analyzer.

Unfiltered, unaveraged raw noise will bounce around a few decibels because that’s how it is....Gaussian. Stability only improves as the signal level rises higher above the noise.

It’s called signal-to-noise ratio (SNR); the higher the better and more stable. The article just says “in the middle of the pack” but never says what the real number is. I suspect with Christies numbers, he’s got a SNR of about 0dB, and that “middle of the pack” is the bottom half where they all are at about 1-2%.....

Looking at the different polls for NH, Christie shows highest in the WSJ/NBC poll at 7% to Trump’s 21%. IIRC, Gravis showed Trump @ 32%, and Christie @ 4%.

He’s dead to the general public (certainly the South), he is just another Northerner trying to appease those in the South. Good luck with that kind of politics these days!

I hope he stays competitive (not that he is now) for a while. Let Chris “Don Koharski” Christie, Kasich, Bush, and Rubio all stay in and rip each other apart.

Must be “Lazarus sign” ....

Occurrences of the Lazarus sign .... have been mistaken for evidence of resuscitation ..... They may frighten those who witness the movement, and have been viewed by some as miraculous events.

Christie just did a town hall in a NH pub. That’s a small crowd compared to trump!

Yup, this is the reverse of 2012 when it was the Conservatives who were split.

Christie was a recent Chairman of the Republican Governors Association, where he collected a lot of IOUs for great fund-raising for local candidates. He’ll get a lot of insider support regardless of ideology.
