"They are neither indigenous nor are they native. Their ancestors came to the Americas from Asia, over the land bridge that is now known as Alaska’s Aleutian Islands."

Very good point.....and Texas, California and New Mexico did not belong to Mexico....

Also, the high cultures of the Americas were mostly south of the USA — in Mexico (Toltec, Olmec, Aztec) or Peru

well, Neanderthals were in Eurasia, so sub-Saharan africans had nothing to do with their demise. though Caucasians, East Asians and Americo tribes do

“Neanderthals were in Eurasia, so sub-Saharan africans had nothing to do with their demise”

Mostly true, but there are some notable exceptions - like the Khoisan tribes of southern Africa, as mentioned here:

AS long as the “heroine” is brunette, tanned, has golden body armor, with large, err, “lungs”, and can leap tall buildings in a single bound, I say go for it.

while we may think nothing of it NOW, inventing the wheel was quite a breakthrough and not easy as there is no parallel in nature

Just like one of the greatest inventions in the past few centuries was indoor plumbing, running water.

It is incredible a culture could be around that long and not figure out how to work metal, either. Complicated things, yes. But other cultures mastered tech in shorter spans. Just look what the Egyptians were doing 4,000 years ago.

This is all part of the liberal fetish to worship losers and victims rather than to respect winners and achievers. In the long run, this cannot turn out well for our society or culture if minds are prepared to be nothing but losers. We need warriors with hunger for victory, not loser pansies.

Even the Dung Beatle perfected the wheel.
Sticks are round and logs roll.
Doesn’t take much of a leap of imagination to invent the wheel.

Just need a reason...to haul heavy stuff more quickly... but then you hit rocks, tussocks of grass, brambles and ground clutter... aha, trail/road grading, government jobs because somebody needs to lean on shovels, they won’t stand up by themselves.

Comes down to having indigenous draft animals or coolies to haul our stuff..

wheels, the joy and bane of modern life.

Life without a Trabant, grim and joyless.

If the rest of the world can make the Cow from the Aurochs, surely the Bison was convertible.
The US terrain didn't stop the ol' Prairie schooners from wandering across them Wide open spaces.
As the Horse had beaten a strategic withdrawal ,what did they drag their stuff around with?

Right, having now bothered to read the original article....:
Indigenous: originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native.
The current strain of Humans are not Indigenous to North America.

well, the Egyptians were lucky to be close to a fount of civilisation namely Sumeria. The Egyptians got their initial seed crops and later the domesticated animals from Sumeria before 4000 BC

Also, metals are found and used if you want them or need them. As hunter-gatherers, the natives of what is now the USA didn't need these products.

We need to start a counter group for Mexico’s terrorized and impoverished indigenous population. We can return the parts of Mexico Mexican’s stole from the Maya for starters.

Yes, the ME was Christian before Muslim’s took it. Where’s the call for reparations? A return to the aboriginal people? Why is it always America’s fault?

For instance, 96% or so of the Atlantic slave trade was to places other than the United States, particularly the Caribbean and Brazil. Where are the calls for reparations from these countries?

Why is Africa so black and China so oriental? Let’s see some diversity movements there? Why aren’t ME refugees clamoring to get into China or India or Russia?
